List of Cheston M Reed Md's Reviews
Dr. Reed is a caring, compassionate doctor. He listens intently, takes your concerns seriously and does everything he can to ensure you are diagnosed correctly and then informs you of treatment options. He is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. He takes as much time as you need and is willing to answer as many questions as you have. He has always been available when I have needed him. I would recommend him highly.
Dr. Reed cares more about his bottom line than his patients. He takes “paternalistic doctor” to a new level of ugliness. I have severe pain from endometriosis, and adenomyosis, and he makes me feel like I am a drug seeker. To clarify, no, I am not. Anyone with this disease knows how debilitating it can be at times. The last, and I do mean LAST, time I saw him, he walks into the room, and the first thing he said was “you know I can’t prescribe you anything for pain”, not even a hello, how are you? He had not prescribed anything for pain in years. What I was thinking about was getting my Pap smear, and praying everything was ok, because I have a family HX of uterine, and breast cancer (my aunt, and grandmother both passed away from it). This was so disappointing, and very embarrassing considering there were 2 other people in the room with us, staring at me. I will never go to, nor will I recommend this man to a woman looking for a caring, supportive doctor.
I have been going to this facility for 5-6 years now. Dr Haskins recently moved as of 2016. The office is nice but the WAIT is insane for a scheduled visit. It's not just a few minutes or 15 minute wait. I am talking about 30-40 minutes or more.
Dr. Reed has been my Dr for almost 35 years. He delivered both of my children & even my daughter's baby.. In 2008, I was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, that he found & got me to the right place for treatments. I am so Thankful for Dr Reed. He really cares about his patients.
I thank God first of all for a man and not just a doctor who acknowledged him. I had multiple miscarriages and Dr Reed explained to me what was happening and why. I was on my fifth pregnancy when I met him and made me feel like I was his only priority. This pregnancy was not God's will however the were complications. But God spoke through Dr Reed to me one morning in Methodist Germantown after staying one night. Dr Reed explained my situation, told me everything would be alright, and told me he would see me Monday morning. He walked out of the room closed the door and immediately walked back in the room and said "whatever you do don't travel", well I did not follow God's instructions or the doctors orders. I took my weekend trip and had no control of the unfortunate circumstances. I spoke with Dr Reed while I was in the hospital in Atlanta he was very compassionate . After my ordeal and returned back home to Memphis I saw Dr Reed shortly thereafter he said " don't tie your tubes God will bless us". Today my son is twelve years old. Thank God for Dr Reed!
Dr.Reed was knowledgeable and took his time explaining all of my different options of birth control in great detail. His staff was friendly as well. I didn't have to wait long at all
Dr. Reed has been my OBGYN for many years. Although he continues to be a very attentive and thorough physician, his staff is terrible. In the last 2 years my insurance was filed incorrectly, my test results were not sent to me as promised, repeated requests for test results go unanswered. Few callbacks were conducted by a person who was obviously unqualified to realay the information back to a patient. I am very disappointed. Requests to speak to Dr. Reed directly went unanswered. For this reason I must give him one star. I hope he reads this review and draws some conclusions. No matter how excellent a physician is, his staff can undo all his good work with their poor work ethics.
Dr. Reed was recommended to me by a co worker and a friend of my 22 year old daughter. I had been hurried in and out by two physicians who were both resigned to my quality of life being normal for menopause, depression or nutrition. I knew this couldn't be right. Oddly, Dr. Reed, being male was the Dr. who listened to me for soooo long, talked to me until I felt we had a plan and stuck with me. Thank GOD I DIDN'T SETTLE for the cold sweat head to toe, odd odor, confusion, hair falling out, and not a great day in two years!!! I am serious. He is a gentle kind man. He's delivered like 10k babies and stopped counting. He'll deliver my grandbaby!!
Each time I visit this facility I feel welcome, important & confident in my visit there. I ask question s& feel that I am receiving the best "PERSONABLE" care possible.
Dr Reed is by far the best Dr to see for any GYN or OB needs. He has delivered 2 of my children. I refer everyone I know to him. He has the best bedside manner of any Dr I have ever had. He makes sure to tend to every need of each patient and make you feel like more than just a patient! He even came in and delivered me on his day off bc I am such a difficult patient to get along with other Dr.s!! :) He is amazing! And his knowledge of Diabetes sets him far apart from all other OBs in the area, including the high risk ones! He is fabulous!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
