Dr. Giel listened to our concerns. She put our minds at ease, but also took the necessary steps to ensure our son was healthy. Excellent doctor.

Dr. Giel is amazing! She did a great job with my son's surgery! I would go back if needed, but we now live out of the state. I will say, the only reason why this review is 4 stars is the office personnel scheduling the surgery. I never received any calls regarding the surgery date, nor instructions on what to expect regarding the COVID test, or just anything in general. When I did continuously call the office regarding the surgery date/time, the person who was in charge of handling this was "not available." So the messages were continuously relayed over several days before the surgery was scheduled at a convenient time for my family and son. I was planning on getting a COVID test prior to surgery, but you need to get a PCR COVID test done, which is in limited places, and is best to get done at the surgery center itself. I was called at work a few days before the weekend stating that my son needs to get the COVID test done before a date, but was never told that if you don't get a PCR test done, the surgery would be cancelled. Just be mindful of this for anyone in the future needing a surgery with a hectic work schedule.

Dr. Giel was very professional and empathetic. She took time to explain the options and made sure we were comfortable with the procedure. The surgery and recovery went very smooth, and we are happy with the results. I have already highly recommended her to people I know.

As others have mentioned, Dr. Giel was extremely rude to my family. She completely ignored my wife at every word and chastised us for allowing our 8 year old to have chocolate from time to time. We drive over 4 hours to see her to only receive rudeness and unprofessionalism.

Dr. Giel was very rude and unprofessional during my child's last visit when she accused us of not complying with her instructions and threatened to involve DHS. It is totally impossible to follow a 9 year old around to see that they do what is expected by the doctor, especially at school. We have since changed doctors who said that the list of do's and don't's that Dr. Giel gave my child were ridiculous and not necessary. The new doctors instructions were more relaxed and since going to a new doctor my child has improved. Evidently we are not the only ones she has offended. This woman should find a different career.

I have taken my daughter to Dr. Giel twice and will not return. At both visits, Dr. Giel was rude, disrespectful, and condescending. We will be seeking treatment for our daughter elsewhere.

I had the same experience previously but assumed she was just having a bad day, and I decided to give her another try. BIG mistake. I have never been treated so rudely by a doctor in my life. We will be seeking treatment for my daughter elsewhere.

We’ve visited Dr. Giel’s office three times now. Once for a consult, once for circumcision and once for a follow up. On this last visit she had a condescending bedside manner. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be many choices for pediatric urology in the Memphis area. So sad.

Said my son's 7 year problem is behavioral. Said she was sending out the culture and to wait to be called for the test results. Was never called. When I call them, I'm told the test was never sent out. So now I can either drive an hour back to them to get it done, or find someone else. I think I'll find someone else...
