Dr. David L. Webb Jr refused to operate on me after he said he would if I would lose 20 lbs. I lost the 20 pounds; he then told me it was too risky and elective surgery. He would not operate. I asked him what should I do? He said when the pain got sever, get to the emergency room as quick as possible. With the hernia that I have, within 18 hours, I would be septic! WOW, can you believe a doctor would give you that response. Do not waste your time with DR, Webb! Go to Vanderbilt Medical Center and get Dr Broucek to do your surgery. He operated on me and fixed my incisional hernia. I am doing great.

Dr Webb surgically removed my stage 3 colon cancer. His manner is not overly warm, but professional and knowledgable. He explained the facts but did not speculate about the unknown. He moved the schedule around to operate 2 days earlier than we first planned so that my surgery would not occur on the day before he was leaving town. His staff was very nice to me. On the next annual visit to my PCP, she told me she had looked at my surgical records and Dr Webb had really done an excellent job on me. 2 1/2 years later I am still clear. I would recommend Dr Webb if you have a serious condition that requires surgery. It is my firm belief that he is an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Webb did my elderly mother's surgery. He was very attentive to our questions and concerns. He is an excellent surgeon and treated her problem uniquely rather than with a routine type of approach. His care was even apparent in the minute stitches he made. His attention to detail has greatly encouraged her outlook towards total recovery.
