Dr. Hammond and his staff at Memphis Surgery Associates are among the finest teams that have benefited my health needs. They all make you feel like you are important. The time they spend talking with you is unrushed and comfortable. They explain needed to know, in detail and understandable language, things about your upcoming procedure (to include preoperative, operative, and postoperative). I really appreciated and trust this group! My operation was a total success and pain free.

First time to see Dr. Hammond, and I found him easy to talk to, and very informative about what I needed to know about my upcoming hernia surgery. Office assistants and medical assistants were also friendly and provided explanations when I needed them.

Dr Hammond is excellent! He performed a DaVinci robotic colon resection on me in September 2019. The attention to prevention of infection is top notch. The explanation of the procedure was easy to understand and went as described. The recovery was much easier than an “open” surgery (much less pain and faster recovery time overall). I cannot overstate how good my overall experience was! Please consider Dr. Hammond when considering any general surgery. He has excellent bedside manner and is a caring, concerned surgeon. I think you’ll be happy if you choose Dr. Hammond.

Dr. Hammond performed PPH surgery on me in 2015. Prior to my surgery, I was suffering from a lot of pain, discomfort, and minor fluid leakage throughout the day. As a result of the surgery, my quality of life has improved dramatically. I recovered very quickly after the surgery. In fact, I stopped taking the prescribed pain medication after four days. As a patient who underwent PPH surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Hammond.
