The visit was surprisingly fast. Dr. Lazar explained the situation with my retina (hemorrhage and scar tissue) and told me that the best course of action would be to try cataract surgery first to see if my eyesight improved to the point where his services may not be needed. Very honest and straightforward. I highly recommend Doctor Lazar. His staff were helpful and friendly too.

Nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Lazar and his staff. Dr. Lazar is the kind of doctor I wished all my doctors were. He is extremely knowledgeable very kind, patient, takes the time to explain things to you and understand your anxieties.Anxieties you can easily have;after all you are dealing with your vision.His office equipment is state of the art and his staff is a reflection of himself. Very friendly, very efficient and very helpful. I can highly recommend him, something I did already. His background office music is not bad either.

The staff and service was excellent. Dr. Lazar made me feel very comfortable as he explained what is going on with my vision and my options. I am very happy with my decision to get care from Dr.Lazar, and I would definitely recommend him.

It was my first visit to Dr Lazar and I am sold. Wendy was extremely helpful to accommodate me right away, same day, since I had shingles in my eyelid and was worried that it spread into my eye. Carson, Dr. Lazar's assistant, did a thorough eye exam and explained every step of each test. The rooms were clean and equipment was sanitized before it was used on me. Dr. Lazar was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and friendly and patiently answered all of my questions and and assured me that the shingles hasn't spread to inside of my eye which was a great relief I am very thankful for this amazing team of caring professionals! What a pleasure to walk into Dr. Lazar's office . Between the colorful circular art work, the music & the very inviting staff & Dr. Lazar it was a very special experience. The doctor was extremely informative, patient & warm.I highly recommend him.

A few weeks ago I had my first, referred appt with Dr. Lazar. The entire experience was first-rate. From the initial phone intake...to the actual appointment. The front office was professional....Carson was exceptional and ...most importantly...Dr.Lazar was everything a doctor should be..knowledgeable. ..patient...explained things in understandable terms....a breath of fresh air these days!...I highly recommend....Steve Carbone

I saw Dr Lazar for a retina problem. I was sent over by my opthalmologist (who has treated me for 40+ years) she highly recommended him. Dr Lazar was very professional and knowledgable. He explained what was happening with my eye and what I needed to do to correct the problem. He was friendly and kind, answering all my questions. He was great, I can recommend him without any hesitation.Carson who did my intake and testing was excellent. He was very professional and knowledgeable as well. Mindy the receptionist was friendly and helpful.

I was referred to Dr Lazar's office by Dr Golbafar, my optometrist at Village Eyes in Westwood. She recommended that I receive a second opinion from Dr Lazar regarding the floater in my left eye because she said that she could only see 90% of my retina with her instruments and equipment, whereas he would be able to see 100% with his. She felt that my experience with Dr Lazar and his office would be much better than if she referred me to a retina specialist at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute in Westwood, which some patients have felt is more of a production line or a factory because there are just so many patients, some who have to wait for hours to get seen even with appointments. She was absolutely right :) ! I am really grateful that she recommended me to Dr Lazar and his staff :D ! His scheduler Mindy and his assistant Karsten are really welcoming and friendly :) ! Karsten was really thorough and recorded my medical history and conducted my necessary eye tests and eye scans smoothly. He really helped to ease any trepidation and apprehension I initially had when I first walked in :) ! Their super updated technology interestingly reminded me of disco lights. I have never seen any technology quite like theirs in an ophthalmology office :D ! Dr Lazar went over the cross-sectional images that Karsten had taken of both of my eyes. He confirmed that the floater in my left eye is due to a vitreous detachment in my left eye, and assured me that this is common in people like me who are so nearsighted. Much to my relief, he confirmed that I don't have a retinal detachment in my left eye, which would certainly be more serious. However, he said to call his office right away if I notice a tremendous increase in the number of floaters, or anything unusual. I was really impressed with his clear explanation by using analogies that made complete sense and his warm and friendly bedside manner :) ! I was also really impressed by Mindy and Karsten as well, who were very upbeat, optimistic and friendly :) ! Upon my request the day after for an itemized receipt of my patient payment for my office visit, their office promptly generated and emailed this to me right away :D !I would highly recommend their boutique-style office to all of my friends and colleagues :D !! The entire visit feels extremely personalized and you really feel well taken care of :) !!I have to admit that the parking situation is not the most ideal. The actual parking lot adjacent to the medical building itself is really convenient, and is hardly full. So for sure, you always have the option to park right in the lot right next to the building. However, it can get pretty expensive if your parking duration exceeds a certain amount of time. I parked down the street on Federal Avenue since street parking is free during certain hours (just make sure you really read the signs before you do street parking). But because my appointment was around mid-morning, there were already so many cars parked on the street. Depending on when your appointment is, and how many cars are already parked on the street, you might have to park really far down for free parking.Dr Lazar and his staff were pretty good about seeing me in such a timely manner. So I got in and out pretty quickly and it was still a high-quality visit :D !!

Dr.Lazar is great Doctor with his staff as well. He is very attentive and listens to all concerns, his staff is very sweet and caring. Great Doctor.

Dr. Lazar and his team are amazing! Good vibes which is rare for a doctors office. First of all the office is so clean and relaxing, and I was seen almost right away. I had a minor Retina tear and was able to get the laser treatment right after the eye exam ..all within an hour!! Great work!
