After 10 years of trying and medications we found out we could not have children without IVF. Dr Kutteh was upfront and honest about what we could expect and we were fortunately blessed with our son. We are undergoing a second transfer soon in hopes of giving him a sibling with Dr Ke. Everyone at this clinic has been wonderful and we are thankful every day.
First visit was great. Nurse Jenny was awesome you can tell she truly loves her job she made me feel very comfortable. I got alot of information and the boost I needed to start my pregnancy journey. Happy I found this place. LGBT friendly ❤️
I am currently 6 months pregnant with a healthy baby! Dr. Bailey was my doctor and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate the treatment I received from her and really the entire team at Fertility Associates of Memphis. It took me roughly a year to get pregnant doing IVF and amongst all the appointments and different procedures, the entire team was always super kind and professional, especially considering the range of emotional and physical endurance you go through during the "IVF journey". Thank you Dr. Bailey and the rest of the team!!
Dr. Ke was amazing! He diagnosed my issue and successfully removed my polyp. The surgery went smoothly, and I got pregnant four months later. I truly appreciate that he never pushed any extreme treatments and aimed for the least invasive approach possible. Now, my baby girl is two months old and super healthy!
Went with my wife. We were going primarily for my self, for low sperm count, which we told them when we set the appointment. So we get there, and get taken back after roughly 20 minute wait. Another 10 minute wait in another waiting area, and they come to get us. They start to get vitals on my wife and tell me I can just go wait for her in the room. I asked if they knew the appointment was primarily for me, and all I was told by the nurse was that she just needed to get my wife's vitals and to go wait in the room. So I go wait right outside the door of the exam room. A few minutes later, the nurse brings my wife and says Dr. Brezina will see you shortly... so my wife responded that we had an appointment with Dr. Bailey... the nurse just said ok, that dr bailey was running behind but she'd add us to her. So we wait a few minutes and Dr. Brezina comes in, red in the face and tells us we can't be see by Dr. Bailey. As she's too behind, and then proceeds to tell me that Serena (I guess that's the nurse) said I was belligerent and they would not tolerate that! He was sure to repeatedly say that wouldn't be tolerated!!! I just said "I don't feel like I was being belligerent" he said he didn't care and said we'd have to be rescheduled and if it happened again we would be banned. So as we are walking out, Serena or what ever the nurses name is is having trouble stopping her self from laughing, and I asked if I could get some clarification. I said all I did was ask why my wife was the only one getting vitals. He once again said he didn't care, and it wouldn't be tolerated...but the woman is the primary patient and that was why they only took her vitals... ok explanation checks out, but I wasn't even remotely belligerent, and the nurse didn't even try to explain that, I was just told to go wait in the room. So anyways, I would avoid the place If you don't want to get called at and belittled for literally no reason. Hell my wife cried and appologized to me and said she didn't even know what the hell just happened as if it was some how her fault. Also, calling someone belligerent and then actually being belligerent to the person you just accused (without seeing, hearing, or witnessing) is kind of crappy I feel like?
Excellent service! If I could rate them 10 stars I would. I must say my only co.plain would be that the magazines offered for "inspirational purposes" were a little outdated, but still contained quality photos. The videos provided were top notch, however many of them are re-runs, as i already have several in my personal collection. Some of the staff were absolutely beautiful so I chose to just go the mental picture route while handling my business, but to each his own. They do a wonderful job as far as privacy goes and the rooms have a nice Feng Shui feel, which provides for a calm, soothing experience. Lastly, the staff were respectful of my pronouns Me/Myself/and I, which I very much appreciated as people seem to be drifting further away from acknowledging ones preferred gender identity.
I’ve had a handful of appointments with Memphis Fertility Associates and each time has been nothing but positive. From the front desk staff, to the ultrasound techs, to the nurses, and lastly to our wonderful practitioner Dr. Brenzina, I cannot recommend this place enough.
Get a 2nd opinion! My wife went here almost 3 years ago and came home in tears because they told her she was basically infertile and to not even try anymore. Well we went to Dallas for a second opinion and went through one fertility step of cleaning out the tubes and next month she was pregnant. We now have two beautiful boys. Thank goodness we did not listen to this doc. Please get another opinion.
If you have any other option for another clinic, do it unless you want poor communication and to feel like a cash cow. Unfortunately for us, there was not another clinic within a 300+ mile radius so we had no choice. Before you put yourself through what can be a heartbreaking process, please note the following that I wish I would’ve known beforehand: 1) While the clinic is in network, the lab is not in network with the majority of major insurance providers such as BCBS, Cigna, etc. We had fertility coverage that we pay extra for in our insurance. However, since the lab is not in network, we were out around $20,000 and had to pull out a loan since majority of IVF is all lab and it was not covered at all. 2) If you do genetic testing on your embryos for an additional $6k, note this only covers the testing of 8. Any above 8 is an additional $275.00 per embryo. We were not told this at all until after we had paid, and signed off on everything. I found out by the front desk when I was shoved a piece of paper at my ultrasound appointment which is unacceptable and forced me to make a quick decision. We couldn’t afford any more so I had to decline which was heartbreaking. That amount should cover ALL embryos retrieved not just 8! It is sickening that this clinic takes advantage of you like that and wants more money when it’s already unaffordable for the majority of couples. 3) The communication is horrible. I was almost out of my medications during IVF stims and left 2 urgent messages for the nurses and even called front desk and no one ever got back with me to let me know if I needed a refill of my medication to continue stims. With how time sensitive this is, it should’ve been a priority even if you sent me an email. The billing is also a nightmare as they wait until last minute to file with your insurance so your authorizations are not done in time.. aka you are forced to pay more money you shouldn’t owe out of your pocket on surgery day. 4) No one not even your Doctor warns you how horrible the recovery from egg retrieval will be if you have a large amount of eggs retrieved. I ended up in the ER and was in severe pain for weeks after to the point it hurt to walk, go to the bathroom, etc. Please do your research. My body hasn’t been the same since and I have had to take a break before doing my frozen embryo transfer. 5) When I got the call about how many embryos made it and I tried to ask the doctor a question, he told me he didn’t have time and basically ended the phone call. I was just another cash cow to them, not a person that had been through a traumatic experience. Please look at other options before considering this clinic. With how difficult this process is, the communication and care should be top tier and this experience has been much worse than it should’ve been had we had another option.
I hate these folks I can't even lie. I just have no one else local to really help. Me and husband paid for ivf and it failed but one of the nurses at fertility associates told me, if you are struggling to have ivf then what makes you think you can afford a baby. Dr Ke, didn't care that ivf failed. Just money money more money for nothing. Waiting waiting and waiting for nothing. After ivf he put me on progesterone late. No doctor reached out to check on me ever. Dr Brezina didn't give a damn either. I just never felt like anyone cared. I asked Dr. Brezina for a breakdown of ivf and he didn't even give a breakdown he was like $20,000. But at least give me a breakdown on meds so that I may find them cheaper somewhere. He never remembered anything about me when he saw me. He just try to read notes real quick. Honestly, I've been told by several woman that the clinic offered them discounted meds or even free meds that other patients decided not to use. I've even heard them say free donor sperm for some patients that other patients left after their ivf was successful. Of course I was denied care credit. I spoke with Dr Kutteh about being a patient of his because he seemed caring. He emailed me and said he was retiring that week and wouldn't accept me. Something tells me that he probably didn't even retire lol but I have proof that he told me that. I've had three natural miscarriages but no one ever checked to see possibly why. I was informed I have endometriosis but I did research and found out there is possible endometriosis surgery. Why wasn't this recommended? Now your experience may be totally different so don't take my word. I just had to tell someone that I have given them my savings, at one time I sold all my cars for ivf. Paying storage fees expensive appointments. Getting expensive monitoring that was hundreds of dollars. I remember I was like $6 short and my monitoring was cancelled after asking them to bill me. I asked could we do iui to make it more affordable. Dr Brazina refused to do iui because he said that I didn't respond to clinic and Gemara that well so I asked could we use a low dose injectable he said no. I give up. I'm 36 no hope. God just didn't put anyone in my path to care even a little bit.
