Frances Beard's Online Review Report Card

I have minor skin issues and have been looking for a dermatologist for a while no.w. I came across this place on google with 5.0 reviews. I wasn’t able to see dr Gwen, but I saw one her associates, Dr Alexandria. First of all I arrived before my scheduled time, and still waited 45 mins to be seen. Then after I went back the dr came in she literally looked at my face for 2 seconds and said I have acne. She didn’t touch me or look under my mask. Then she gave me what appeared to be an acne speech. This woman was out of breathe from saying it so fast, like a memorized script. She didn’t allow me to ask any questions and basically ran out of the room. I know for a fact I don’t have acne. I had to yell for the nurse to come back just to ask a question. I don’t think this is a good place for melanated people. I felt she didn’t give a sh*t what was going on with me. My appt lasted 4 mins. It was a waste of my time and money. I will never be back

I have been to Dr. Beard twice for cosmetic procedures. Both times went well. It took a series of 5 appointments/every 3 weeks to complete. I can only recall her being severely late once. Never happened again. Her skills with the Laser are excellent and the staff I encountered were very nice. She too is an excellent Dermatologist.

Dr. Beard is extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Always takes time to answer any questions. Great bedside manner. Her staff is as nice as can be. My wife and I consider ourselves to be fortunate to have found such a wonderful doctor!

If Dr. Beard doesn't wish to see people unless they have Cancer, she should just say that. She was behaving so ugly and rude towards me during my meeting I almost worried if she has brain cancer. What else could cause such poor judgement and a shift of character? She's never acted like that before with me but it started the second she came into the room. Her pompous snickering was so rude. She tried to put off my skin condition as a reaction to my mask when it clearly wasn't. She got within 10 feet of me for 10 seconds, never diagnosed me, and just prescribed me something random. She seemed irritable and just plain old RUDE! I HATE WOMEN LIKE THAT. And she never offered to volunteer who her overweight assistant was. Like really? Really poor bedside manner. But she sure lives up the dermatologist stereotype that they are rude women who are lazy and would prefer to be sitting at home doing nothing. I am taking MY business to Levy Dermatology and I am telling everyone I meet how horrible she is. I really wanted to cuss her out. I will never. Staff at the front is kind of cold. Also, very dumb location in midtown. The building is worn down.

Very patient, professional and personable. Did an awesome job removing a basal cell carcinoma on my uncle. Would highly recommend!

Wasn't able to schedule an appointment because I was after hours(which is my fault) but the clerk who answered was really patient, sweet and really helpful. If nothing else they have beautiful customer service.

Dr. Gwen Beard is wonderful. She is so friendly and helpful. She took lots of time with my husband and myself and addressed all our concerns. I highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Gwen if you are in need of an excellent dermotolist. She is always very professional, positive and upbeat. Gwen has performed multiple procedures due to “Overexposure” to the sun and I have been very pleased with the results.

Best doctor I have, very good bedside manner , sweet and personable . Good doctor and pretty too .
