Saved my life!

I was referred to Dr. Boop when he was at Arkansas Children's Hospital. That was in 1993. Between 1993 and 1996, I had 5 brain surgeries. I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) during one of my surgeries which impacted my pituitary gland function. Dr. Boop kept telling me I needed to exercise and lose weight. Long story short, I was eventually diagnosed w/multiple hormone deficiencies. Dr. Boop is a very short-sighted Dr. in how he practices medicine and likes to blame the patient when something isn't going right.

This neurosurgeon and his wonderful team did the most amazing job diagnosing and treating my daughter for epilepsy and tumor resection. The time, care, and attention they provided were exceptional and we feel privileged to have been under their care. We owe them a debt of gratitude that we will never be able to repay. We cannot say enough good things about the treatment we received, and it was all given with love and tremendous generosity of heart and spirit.

A neurosurgeon who used to Practice at Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH). You would think a NEUROSURGEON would be familiar with the inner workings of the brain and the impact the pituitary gland (located in the brain, after all, in close relation to the Optic Nerve) has on metabolic function. Dr. Boop had the nerve to tell me I needed to exercise more, eat less, and lose weight. This was AFTER a follow-up appointment where both Dr. Boop and neurosurgeon Dr. Charles Teo were discussing my health issues with me. Dr. Teo made a statement to the effect of, "Maybe there's an issue with Korey's pituitary gland not functioning." It wasn't until 2 YEARS LATER (1998) that Dr. Boop finally ordered bloodwork showing a low Testosterone level. I was referred to the pediatric Endocrinology Dept. where a very insigtful endocrinologist with a Ph.D in medicine prescribed the testosterone replacement and told me based on my surgical history, I should be tested for Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency (AGHD). The testing for AGHD was completed several months later after having been on the testosterone replacement during that time. The results came back showing a severely low level of growth hormone for me at the age of 22 years old. The endocrinologist stated, "No wonder you have no energy!" I hope Dr. Boop has learned from his mistakes of the past and treats his patients better. He should, at the very least, know about the impact that traumatic brain injury (sustained during surgery--i.e.: Malpractice) has on the pituitary gland and its ability, or lack thereof, to produce life-sustaining hormones.

Dr Boop and Dr Wheless were amazing! My son was diagnosed with epilepsy four years earlier and had been medicated with ‘breakthrough’ seizures. Dr Wheless and Dr Boop were able to diagnose an operable tumor within 2 days and had it removed safely from my sons brain within 4 days! My only regret is not bringing him up sooner. Dr Boop and Dr Wheless rock! I can’t thank the both of them enough for bringing normality back into my son’s life.

Dr Boop did my surgery back in 1996 in little rock he has changed my life so much being seizure free is the best thing could ever happen! Next to God DrBoop is pretty close! Thanks Sheryl

Dr. Boop first of all is a very kind doctor. He ws very patient with my 2 year old who has chiari malformation and performed her surgery for decompression. Her surgery was successful. Thanks Dr. Boop.

Dr." Frederick Boop, the man who helped Dr. Christopher Duntsch (also known as Dr. Death) continue operating despite him maiming and killing his patients.

I had epilepsy for about 25 years. I had surgery from Dr Boop in 1991 and have not had any problems since. He removed a portion from my left temporal lobe. Also got to quit taking all meds . I highly recommend him.
