List of Gene Whitington's Reviews
This guy is a jerk. He didn't even enter the room -- stood in the doorway to tell me my young son had Crohn's. We had just lost my husband to cancer, so now my son related his illness to his dad's. Whitington told my son to stop crying. Started rattling off a laundry list of drugs. I questioned if there might be alternatives, such as diet and nutrition. He told me Crohn's had nothing to do with that! WHAT??? This is a gut disease, but has nothing to do with diet and nutrition???
Dr. Whitington performed an endoscopy on me after diagnosing me with several gastrointestinal issues. When I woke up from the anethesia, he told me to try not to think about the pain like I was a 5-year-old with a tummy ache. I was 22, a long time patient of his, and in a great deal of pain. After he left the room, I started crying and his nurse had to comfort me. I finally got a diagnosis two weeks ago from another doctor that he could have found 15 years ago if he'd actually tried.
Dr. Whittington diagnosed me with a rare form of Eosinophilia when I was 9 years old and my parents were without hope. He continued to see me over the next decade. Now 47, I live a normal life. I owe much to Dr. Whittington.
All I have to say about this Doctor is that he is a miracle worker. He saved my sisters and granddaughter. He has cared for numerous members of my family for the last 50 years. Thank you for caring and your tireless devotion. God Bless you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
