List of George Chu Md's Reviews
Had a very disappointing phone call after my visit. The visit was fine, but the insurance staff refuses to submit my claim and demands payment first. I am totally willing to pay what I owe, and had already paid my first visit charges in advance, but expect them to submit it to my insurance.
Dr. Chu is a wonderful doctor. He is concern what is going on with his patients. His staff is also great. The best doctor i have ever had.
Dr. George Chu is one of the best physicians I've come across in a long time. He is very caring and professional. He stopped taking my insurance once, and I was devastated, but as soon as I was informed he was taking my insurance again, I returned to his care. I would not trade him for the world. He is truly called by God to take care of the sick. Now, the receptionists, they are a different story. Some of them make you feel worse when you enter the office. Their personalities do no match Dr. Chu's.
Dr. Chu is wonderful. As are the Nurse Practitionees. That is where it ends. The staff needs a major overhaul. Wont return phone calls, rude, condescending, and decides personally if you deserve to have your messages relayed to the physician. I am taking my care elsewhere.
Dr. Chu is a wonderful human being who treats his patients with great respect and concern. He takes time to listen to your concerns, responds appropriately to those, orders the correct tests to further determine the best course of treatment and prescribes the proper medications when necessary.
Dr. Chu is ok, he seem to dismiss some issue that I had and I didn't like that. His nurses are rude and never return your call in a timely fashion. I put in for a refill on the portal and it took five days to fill and I had to call to find out what was going on. If you need a referral you would have to make an appt and pay a copay for that if you don't mention it at the time of your appt. If you need records sent somewhere you will have to come in to sign a release EVERYTIME. His nurses suck!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. CHU for several years, however , the last couple of years have been awful as far as acquiring appointments to see him. I was rushed to the emergency room, and stayed at the hospital overnight. Upon release, the attending physician informed me that I was to make an appt with my doctor immediately. They would not give me an appt immediately, they scheduled one for 2 months later. Very rude, unprofessional, obnoxious, and with no compassion or empathy for patient. Got a new doctor with a awesome front office team. Dr. CHU was great, but his front office staff is destroying his good name.
They don’t call back in a timely manner when you have a problem. The receptionist staff are very rude and snotty acting. I’m done with this practice.
He is very kind, and clearly loves to practice medicine. However, both my husband and I have had unique health issues that he has dismissed. In addition, communication with the office is very poor. They try to use the patient portal to substitute for the phone. The nurses that call me are always grumpy and have terrible bedside manner.
Dr Chu once spent 30 minutes with me in the patient room discussing my symptoms. He is the only thorough and caring MD I have ever been to

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
