Glenn Morris's Online Review Report Card

After experiencing an ongoing abnormal Medical occurrence, I was instructed by two different physicians to schedule an appointment with a Primary Physician for an OBGYN referral due to the specified nature. After educating myself on the program details provided and hearing so many positive things about Church Health from family and my ENT that I trust and love, I scheduled an appointment for August 31, 2020 at 9:30 A.M. as instructed to receive the referral. Upon preparing for my departure, Dr. G. Scott Morris returned to my room to provide me with my most unpleasant, distastefully unforgettable, disrespectful experience I’ve ever encountered with any physician in my life to date. After letting me know that he was going to write me a certain prescription, I asked could he refer me to an OBGYN. Little did I know, by simply asking that question warranted such uncouth and egotistical behavior from Dr. G. Scott Morris. With no added verbiage or exaggeration, his words with a condescending, belittling, and irritable tone are as follows: “I know what I’m doing. What do you need an OBGYN for? I’ve been doing this for a veeeerrrrrry long time and I’m almost 100% positive that once you finish the prescription that (inserts abnormal medical occurrence )will stop. And if that doesn’t work, we’ll go from there. You don’t know that we don’t get paid A DIME for this. All of our physicians are volunteers and a Pap smear is about the easiest thing you can do as a doctor...” You can read my entire experience in the photos above.

Dr. Scott Morris has been my primary care taker for over 10 years. He's one person that I trust and have the highest regards recommending! He's always treated me with respect and been excellent with my medical needs. Truly a man who loves humanity and our creator. Im grateful to have him as my physician!

I’m not a patient at the church health center, but I’ve been helping people who don’t have insurance getting medical care, specially those who need translation. The facility was always great to those in need of medical attention and the staff and doctors were always concerned and caring about their patients problems. Except for Dr. Morris, I have never gone through an experience with a doctor like him. I was trying to explain the symptoms of the patient and he just went off on me trying to put me in my place, by saying “how do you know? Are you the doctor or me? How do You give a diagnosis, we have donors and you want us to waste their money!” . He was literally shaming me the whole time in front of the patient. I really thought That I did something wrong, until I reed other people’s reviews. Thank you.

This doctor is a demon in disguise and quack of a doctor. Everyone that states their christian and show christian ways are not always CHRISTIANS. My last visit to this clinic I had him but didnt realize who he was until leaving the clinic. After waiting over 30mins which was unusual so I step out the room he's sitting like he's killing time so guess he was being devious having me wait after reading my emails and reviews. I started going to this clinic about 4yrs ago and Ive done maybe 6 visits and every last one maybe except 2 were the worst visit. These pill throwing so call doctors are HORRIBLE. I was going through what I thought was periomenopause that was making me feel like I was going insane, acne, sore joints, hair los, fatigue along with few more aliments so they wanted to throw antidepressants at me which I knew the issue was far greater than a dam antidepressant. Had these these quacks knew anything about practicing medicine that would of knew after doing lab work that my TSH levels were not normal so do did labwork again with independent lab this past March which showed the same. Which means Ive been suffering Chronic Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome(Hypothyroidism) which can mimic symptoms of having a hard time w/periomeopause. All this time Ive been suffering due to the neglect of bunch of quacks, this sickness can be detrimental if not tended to . Western docs want to do nothing but line their pockets along w/the pharmaceutical companies. Dont believe the hype you hear about this place, just because the name says Church health. Learn to be your own self advocate when it comes to your health. God did not place herbs and supplements here for nothing, the best healing you can get.

I use to work at Church health when the clinic was on Peabody. I left because over all I want happy working under the clinical director John. I was very happy working in team Wallace. Me Wallace is and was a great Nurse practitioner. I didn't think Dr Morris was a kind person at all. He never made time to talk or just engage in conversation with you. He never knew my name regardless of how many times I told him. I gave five stars because the clinic truly does help and make it easy for people to get amazing healthcare for an adorable price.

While I admire Dr. Morris' resume and what he's done for Memphis, my experience with him personally has been less than pleasant. The Crosstown Concourse is a beautiful newly renovated facility that houses the Church Health Center’s operations, including their walk-in clinic, which I went to today to discuss pain from injuries in my legs as well as my current psychotropic medications. As far as the injuries on my legs from a car wreck in August 2016 and a fall down concrete stairs in January 2017, Dr. Morris told me to just deal with the pain after telling me that I have a lipoma (which, after doing 5 minutes of searching, I found out can be easily removed—he should have offered to set this up) and that nothing can be done for my other injury (definitely don’t trust his “expert opinion” after the lipoma incident, though). As far as medication, I have been through numerous traumatic experiences, and my mental health has unfortunately suffered because of them. When I spoke with Dr. Morris about this, inquiring about possible medication changes, he focused on exercise and treated me as if I only cared about getting a “controlled substance.” I was simply relaying what my therapist and I had talked about and asking questions. He became defensive, dismissive, and invalidating toward my experiences, feelings, thoughts, and my therapist’s knowledge of what would be best for me. For the record, I had recently been seeing a psychiatrist who was planning on upping my medication anyway, but I could no longer afford to see him once exiting IOP treatment. I left the office in tears, and I am horrified that he is a practicing physician with high ranking authority. Dr. Morris, if you see this, learn from this. Your patients deserve better, and you should know better.

Dr. Scott, I would like to thank you for all the wonderful things you have done for the city of Memphis... I have been exercising at the new Y at Crosstown and it is a fabulous facility ... and think of you often and the Church Health Center... you are an inspiration for all of us. Joann from Fino's
