List of Gregory K Jenkins Md's Reviews
Definitely not a fan. Went there a few times after my prior doctor retired. During most of my appointments, Dr. Jenkins was never prepared, and I always had to explain my prior medical history and why I was there. I had medical tests done and he didn't have the results with him and had to go find them. The kicker was that he asked why I went to see a specialist at the City of Hope *he* recommended !!! He's in his mid-70's. I'm now at UCLA (also in the Santa Clarita Valley) and am very happy.
What used to be a superb medical practice is no longer. My most recent experience was that his assistant did everything she could to not help me when I called to get help for my sick husband. Mind you this is a 75 year old man who has been a friend of the doctor's for over 20 years. I had to beg her to have the doctor talk to my husband on the phone. He isn't taking any new patients which is a good thing.
We drove down a few years ago to switch care to here, hopeful for a decent doctor based on positive reviews here on Yelp. Dr Jenkins was late to the room for a first visit, seemed mentally out of it, distracted, didn't listen, and just asked what treatment my husband might want rather than recommending something (which is the whole point of coming to a medical expert). Then the office staff, who were distracted, rude, & gossipy, mixed up our blood work
Wow. Just literally got hung up on by the receptionist who said he wasn't taking new patients even though I was a patient of his at his former practice. Just very odd interaction and unprofessional. This is American healthcare for you where they leave out the "care" part.
Dr Jenkins is great. He is always thorough and attentive to my needs. He answers all the questions I have and his staff is friendly. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Dr.
I agree with many of the most current reviews of Dr. Jenkins. This past visit was atrocious. During my annual physical, I mentioned 3 areas of concern and problems that I was having. He stated that he would write me prescriptions to deal with them. Five minutes later when the "exam" was over he said good bye and he would see me next year, my 3 concerns completely ignored or forgotten. Neither of which are okay. I completely agree with Jennifer S's review (8/24/2021) that he is not all there. That was bad enough but 2 months later I get a bill from them for $300+ and a second bill from Quest diagnostics for almost $900! For a routine physical! It is now more than 6 month later and I have contacted Dr. Jenkins office more than 5 times telling them that they need to straighten out the insurance mistake, they refuse and were incredibly RUDE. I will never go back and wouldn't send my worst enemy to this horrid "doctor's" office. Stay away.
I hate leaving poor reviews but this place has so many good ones that I think it can be misleading. I'll start by saying Dr. Jenkins does seem like a kind, fun person but he doesn't seem to be quite all there anymore for medical care. When my husband went to seek treatment & information on a medical issue he's had, Dr Jenkins asked "so what do you want to do?" regarding his treatment. My husband was taken aback by the blunt & dismissive words. He had come to the doctor, an expert in medicine, for medical advice. So no real care was actually received. He was generally offhand with his comments, overly casual for having just met us, and seemed distracted & confused. The staff in the front office were arguing and gossiping loudly which we could hear while we were waiting in the lobby. Further, this same staff mixed up our bloodwork. We only realized it when they called to say his estrogen was too high We both went for initial an initial appointment there with high hopes of finally finding a good primary care physician based on all of the positive reviews but they didn't end up being true in our case.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have been dealing with Dr. Jenkin's billing dept since Jan. 2021 when they decided to send me a bill for a covid test I had gotten done on 8/26/2020. I called the office and asked why it was not submitted to my insurance and they stated that my name, birthday and insurance number was incorrect. HOW?! I have no idea because when I came in office they made copies of my ID and insurance card. They told me to disregard the bill and they will submit it to insurance. Fast forward to February, I received a bill AGAIN with the SAME issue. This time I decided to involve my insurance, Blue Cross, and they stated that there is no claim on file for the date of service they are trying to bill me for. I provided them the number to the billing dept and they called and provided ALL my CORRECT information AGAIN to their office to submit the claim. BUT AGAIN in March AND April they sent me a bill with the SAME issue. NO CLAIM ON FILE AND BC had to call their office to have them submit the claim with all the correct information. AND here AGAIN in MAY, I received a bill with the same issue and of course I involved Blue Cross again and they stated NO CLAIM ON FILE and called the office but the office provided them a claim number that was for a DIFFERENT patient. This is so ridiculous and what's funny is I work for a billing dept so I know exactly how submitting a claim works. This office is clearly trying to SCAM me. Dr. Jenkin's as great as you are because my doctors and administrator can vouch for you because you both refer patients to each other BUT get a better billing dept. There's no way in hell I will let your office scam me especially when the job isn't getting done correctly. 5 months of this nonsense and it's getting old and I'm ready to take further action.
Love Dr. Jenkins ! Always so patient and understanding and never fails to make you and your needs a priority.
Dr. Jenkins always takes time to listen to me about all my health concerns. He is the only Doctor that I look forward to seeing. He treats his patients like family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
