Calling a black won an “Aunt Jamima”? Gross
***WARNING*** This doctor's office will charge you a $225.00 new patient / office visit even if you're not a new patient. I WAS an existing patient with Mid-South Dermatology however, it has been 3 years since I have been in the office. I was not informed of this fee until I received my bill in the mail...SURPRISE! Now their new office is extremely nice and I hope you're willing to pay for it! The Office Manager would not remove this fee even though I have been a patient for over 10 years. I had one growth burned off of my head and was charged $361.00 so if you're looking to be gouged in a really nice office...this is the place for you!
Dr. Turner and his staff are very sweet. The wait was minimal. He listened to all of my concerns and explained what was wrong and what I needed to do. I highly recommend him.

I had seen Dr Turner in the past and was very happy with him. I then didn't need to see him for anything. In 2019, I developed a skin ulcer on my ankle and was sent to him. He looked at it, prescribed an antibiotic, a cream and an return appointment. The cream didn't work. My return visit was a very long wait time and when I did get to the back, he had forgotten his diagnosis of my previous visit and his nurse had to tell him what he had said. He prescribed another cream and return visit. This time I ended up in the Urgent Care and ER because I was running a temperature from infection. My return trip, he said that I had injured my ankle, ice skating. Nnow I am here for another problem, still waiting 2 hours past my appointment time to be seen. Not sure why such long waits.
I love Dr Turner and his staff! I suffer from psoriasis and went to him during a flair that covered about 90% of my body. I was given immediate treatment and all of my concerns were addressed and taken care of. I feel very fortunate to know that I can see him and know that he and staff will take care of me
Rushed office visit and being a diabetic I had to get my toenails cut. He BUTCHERED THEM! I didn’t go in looking for a “style” on my nails, but when your toes/feet hurt more when you leave clinic than when you enter says a lot of negativity on his behalf! Rude!!
I have suffered with a new & emotionally extreme skin condition on my face for the past year. After many different doctor visits to my PCP, I found myself a new patient to visit Dr. Turner. I handled all of my paperwork prior to my visit online & showed up early to see that everything could run as smoothly on my part as possible. The staff was very friendly & kind. After patiently waiting, almost 1 1/2 hours, I was finally called back. I let the nurse screening me know I had several issues to address & she took notes. The dr. quickly came in with another gal (now 2 in the room w/him) & dictated to her after asking me what I was in for. He seemed rushed, almost annoyed & not concerned about my needs. I found it to be unprofessional & I left unclear of anything he had said or prescribed. I am requesting my follow up be with another doctor. And here I thought I was waiting so long because he WAS so thorough & spent the time his patients needed of him. Nope-that was not the case!
I don't normally write reviews... Took our 16yo daughter to see Dr. Turner. WORST experience EVER!! Do NOT choose this doctor. He was very unprofessional. The freeze off treatment did NOT work, we ended up doing a home treatment for her planters wort. He was very hurried. Acted annoyed when we had other questions. Daughter had ring worm, which he said was eczema. If our other daughter, who doesn't have any skin problems, turns up with the same ring shape marks (after visit with BM), it's probably not eczema. Weird he kept insisting on eczema, when ring worm is contagious, and sister got shortly after. We treated at home with OTC fungal cream, and it worked. Wanted us to get expensive eczema products... Overall annoyed with his service. Made me sick to pay over $300 for the "service" (or lack there of)!!
As a last hope I saw Dr Turner after having seen 2 other well known dermatologists, one in Cordova and one in E Memphis. Dr Turner diagnosed my issue immediately and treated my condition with complete success. Thank You!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
