My family member was diagnosed with something that needed a prescription immediately…. the company forgot to call it in and the on call center said it had to wait till Monday. Sooo needless to say nobody did their job or would help us!!!! Not a reliable office.
My mother has ran out of medication multiple times because of their lack of attention. They will not answer the phone and all you get is a voice mail box. Leave a message there and submit a request online and end up going for days without medication before they send it to the pharmacy. They replied to one of our messages once that an office manager would call, but that has been about 5 months so far and no call. Do not recommend, but an elderly patient needs something close as they cannot drive to Nashville.
Needed to find a doctor who would listen to my concerns and who I could see in an emergency. Dr. has an affiliation with the emergency clinic across the way so if they are heavily booked, I can go there and Dr. would be advised of my situation, and they could get his records on me and his recommendations if needed. My 1st visit with him was excellent. He was patient and in depth. Wait time was minimal. His nurse friendly and reassuring. I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a competent, fully qualified MD. ( not just an OD )
Tried to charge me a copay and bill my ins. For giving me a phone call.
I’ve recently changed to Dr. Pennington and I couldn’t ask for a kinder, attentive experience. He thoroughly covered every area possible in my records. I appreciate the time and attention he took with me. He seemed genuinely concerned and I felt very secure that I can discuss anything with him. Highly reccommend!
Never even saw the doctor, but was shunted from one nurse practitioner to another. Testing for medications was not done as needed, and after the allergy clinic was shut down I had to go for the last dose. The nurse didn't have a clue as to what she was supposed to do and never came to check on me during the 30 minute waiting period for an allergic reaction. Receptionists have bad attitudes to boot. I will never go back there.
My daughter had a surgical procedure at a major medical center. She needed a regular physician, and We chose him because he was listed as a provider on my daughter's insurance. We had never been to his office, and my daughter was having trouble breathing and crying. He refused to see her because she was 10 minutes late. We had to travel 40 minutes away to the ER. Obviously being a doctor is not why he is in medicine.
I haven't been going here long but already I'm pleased and they've gotten more things resolved for me than in the past and we're still working on the hardest issues but moving forward with great concern and good pace. I'm pleased..
Dr. Pennington and his staff have always provided excellent care through all of my illnesses and have resolved a number of them for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
