My son been seeing him 2 and half years..I haven’t had a bad experience polite doctor nice nurse

He seems very uncaring and unconcerned. He’s far more concerned about his upholding his beliefs than what is actually best for his patient. He doesn’t listen and his nurse is much of the same.

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis by Dr. Whitworth in 2017. He was the only doctor who could figure out what was wrong with me. I have been in remission for 2 years now! I would recommend him to anyone!

John Witworth saved my daughters life not once but three times , she had several set backs and several surgeries and now shes a beautiful , healthy teen. I thank god for this man everyday !

My review isn’t necessarily about Dr. Whitworth. His care for my daughter was great and this review is primarily regarding insurance issues and his lack of using in network facilities. He was in our network and the procedure we had done was performed at Le Bonheur East Surgery Center, also in our network. However, after the procedure we learned the Anesthesiologist wasn’t in network. Also, the specimen samples sent out to be tested were sent to a lab not in our network and now we are stuck paying for the lab work fees in excess of $1,100. Just verify who is performing the procedure and apparently you need to verify what lab will be used for tests. Didn’t realize this was my responsibility to do but it will not happen again.

Dr Whitworth is carying and highly knowledgeable physian. He performed a colonoscopy on our 14 year and diagnosed famial adenmatosis polyposis. This inherited disease and the diagnosis was very frightening. Dr Whitworth was quick to tell us that there were measures to be taken that while they have not been easy to endure I am happy to say that my granddaughter is doing well and was correctly diagnosed. I highly recommend Dr Whitworth and we will continue to see him yearly.

Great doctor.

My grandson saw this doctor with severe pains n unable to tolerate formula. His response was unless u see green vomit don't worry about him. He was in the room less than 5 mins. And sent us on our way. No need to come back. Since this time our problems have only gotten worse. I am requesting a new doctor before we change to Vanderbilt.

Dr. Whitworth is great. My son, 8 years old, was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in April and he took great care of him and helped him to get in remission with the treatment he suggested. Highly recommended.

My daughter had many issues with GERD as an infant and was treated by a physician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. As she has grown older, we have had fewer issues and needed a closer physician. Dr. Whitworth accepted our insurance and we gave him a try. He was so professional, very caring and eager to work with us to determine a course of treatment for our daughter. We have had lots of experience with other doctors and he ranks at the top of the list! We highly recommend him!!
