I have wanted to Thank you for your expertise during my 10 1/2 hour surgery and the last 15 years. My children are grown and that is all I wanted. Not only are you a excellent surgeon but humble. I would not be here if not for you. Carolyn Manzer from Chattanooga, TN.
Wouldn't ever want to see a different neurosurgeon. He's the Top! Wonderful Doctor/person. He makes me feel comfortable and not intimidated . He did surgery on me in 2001 and I'm still under his care, thank you Dr. Robertson!!
Dr. Jon Robertson is an excellent physician. He has a great bedside manner and is very thorough. He saved my life.
Dr. Jon Robertson is the BEST! He removed a cavernous sinus meningoma in Jan. of 2001, I'm still under his care at this time , for another 8-10 years. I wouldn't want any other neurosurgeon. He is so gentle and a down to earth person. The first time I went to see him concerning my maningeoma, he spent the better part of an hour going over what would be going on during my surgery, using visuals. I would recommend him to anyone!!!! Thank you Dr. Robertson!
I had a cavernous malformation in my brain stem in 05'. Dr.Robertson, Robbie the whole staff was fabulous! I OWE MY LIFE to this amazing doctor! I was in the ICU the whole time and after I was there about 3 days another patient was having some type of problem and was screaming non stop all night.. therefore I could not sleep at all since my room was next to his. Dr. Robertson moved me immediately to another room with no one around so I could rest. I would recommend Dr. Robertson to anyone with a brain problem. He was extremely helpful with me, my family and explained every procedure that was going to happen. Semmes-Murphy and Methodist are lucky to have him!
After visiting several other doctors that were unable to help I landed at Semmes-Murphy and Dr Robertson. I spent 5 hours at the office and left feeling hope. The surgery and recovery was great. Over the past 3 years since the surgery the follow-up and access has been excellent.
At 9am I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Transferred to University Methodist Hospital where I met Dr. Robertson who explained my situation calmly and answered all my questions. By 2:00 I was in surgery. Twice a day, every day during my hospitalization I was visited by Dr. Robertson or one of his residents. During each visit all of my questions were answered and I was made to feel special. My wife was out of the country when this occurred and Dr. Robertson called her following the surgery. When she arrived he sat down with her in my room and spent over an hour discussing my diagnosis, the procedure and my care. Same again when I met with him one week after discharge. Without a doubt the kindest, most professional surgeon I have ever met. I considered myself blessed to have Dr. Robertson as my surgeon.
Dr. Roberson is the best there is. He is thorough and an excellent surgeon. I had brain tumor surgery and everything went perfectly under the skilled hands of Dr. Robertson.
PRIOR to the surgery, we were such special patients. Following the surgery, Dr. Jon Robertson, was no where to be found. The patient, family & friendsdid not see him for 6 days, at which time, the patient was so ill, a few more days in the ICU were necessary. Dr. Robertson's nurse, Robbie Lowrey, denied this in a phone call later. Dr. Robertson's office manager, Carol ?, yelled at the patient on the phone following the surgery. The patient was later told this office mgr was no longer there on another phone call. But of course, she has been there all the time. Dr. Robertson yelled at the patient, her family and a friend while the patient was in the hospital. He yelled at his patient, the family and friend because the nurses' and hospital staff at the hospital HE recommended weren't doing THEIR job! This was the patient's fault! There are PLENTY of witnesses who saw Dr. Robertson's abuse to a patient who could not walk or stand up. Future Patients - beware.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
