List of Joseph Allen's Reviews
This review has noting to do with Dr. Allen's abilities or competence. First, the telephone number listed on the Cigna site for PCPs was incorrect. After finding the number on Google, I spoke with someone. They in turn advised to call another number associated with this MDVIP group. The MDVIP concierge tried to throw a sales pitch to have me join for $1800 (not covered by insurance) just to make a preventative care appointment. No thank you ... Follow up ... Go to Dr. Stephen Johnson! HE was the best.
My parents have been going to Dr. Allen for years. He is thorough, compassionate, and his staff is A+! I highly recommend!
Dr Joseph Allen and staff are caring, professional, and knowledgeable. He has been my doctor for years. Dr Allen is highly regarded by patients and fellow physicians alike.
Excellent diagnostician. Excellent bedside manner and level of professionalism. Courteous staff. Short waiting time to see physician.
Due to the staff's inability to perform a standard prior authorization, including not acting until Friday on information gained Monday, talking with the wrong insurance (and so having to wait until the next Friday), and then lying that there was an investigation, I was out of medication for months and $250 -- almost another $400 on top of that. Now over 90 days later getting lab bills due to other misfilings. Can not recommend against more.
I have been going to Dr. Allen since 1993 I trust him and would recommend him to anyone! He listens to what you have to say, he will refer you to someone else if he thinks you need more help than he can give you. He is a good doctor and you will not find a better person or doctor than him! Love
I've been with Dr. Allen for over 25 years. I was fairly satisfied until the last 2 or 3 years. He's been less likely to treat anything at all himself and more likely to send me off to a specialist. I'm not sure what in internist does then. He actually once said "You come here for the same thing every time" like it was my fault I felt bad. If I keep coming for the same thing, what does that say about your skills?
I highly recommend Dr. Joseph Allen. He is a great doctor and takes the time to really listen to what you have to say. I have been going to him for years and would not dream of switching. I am 75 and have seen many doctors in my lifetime and to me Dr. Allen is the best doctor I have ever had. He is always concerned about your health and how you are doing. When tests are run in or out of the office, he writes you a letter and tells you of the results. Again he is highly recommended.
Great staff, good location, family friendly for sure.
I have been a patient of Dr. Fassetts for over 15 years. He is a wonderful man, and I hope he continues to practice medicine for many years. Dr Allen is the physician I see when I cannot get an appt with Fassett. Dr Allen always seems distracted and not overly interested in making any conversation at all. He wants to get in and out of the room. His nurse leaves much to be desired. She is rude and unkind to patients. Both my mother and my husband have commented on how unnecessarily nasty she is to paying patients. Last time I went in she slapped a paper in my hand and gruffly told me I could get my blood work elsewhere. She did not offer an explanation, and didn't even tell me to fast for the test... which I had to get twice . The quality of care has gone down dramatically over the years, I am seriously considering changing doctors at this point.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
