Because my pain was attributed to multiple fibroids, I was not diagnosed with endometriosis by this doctor even though I told her all of my symptoms and that a doctor found a lack of ovarian mobility from my ultrasound results. Two physicians recently found nodules of endometriosis in my uterosacral ligmanent, and I will now have to have surgery to remove it. When I told her nurse of the doctors’ findings, she stated there was no evidence of endometriosis and you can only be diagnosed surgically. Yes, a diagnosis can only be made surgically. But a doctor can suspect it based on symptoms and a pelvic exam. If you have pelvic pain, I would reccomend seeing someone else.

Dr. Williams is a caring and compassionate physician. I saw her for 6 years. Unfortunately, she never suspected me as having endometriosis even though I have had irregular bleeding for years and I also told her that I suspected endometriosis. I went to a renown minimally invasive surgeon and was given a probable diagnosis, and will be having surgery soon. I am now having severe pain. If I had been put on birth control sooner, the endometriosis probably would not have progressed to this point.
