Kathryn Sumpter's Online Review Report Card

Today, I've had the worst experience. I had an appointment for 9am at Kathryn Sumpter, MD clinic. I'm literally STILL in the waiting room for over 1 hour and 14 minutes! It is 10:14am and I haven't been to the back at all. When I asked the receptionist what was going on, why haven't I been seen, she was nice and CLUELESS. We've yet to be seen, she hasn't updated letting us know what the problem is or anything. Each time I had to come up there, she needs customer service skills. There is a MAJOR time management issue. The receptionist has taken our information twice and we've been here for all this time. I literally had to cancel the appointment!!! I refuse to wait another hour to be seen...This is ridiculous. I asked to reschedule my appointment, the receptionist was telling me it would be December before they can get my son, Triston back in. Then I waited 10 minutes, went back up to the counter and she then lied and said it'll be January 2023, which one is it?!? I had somewhere to be at 11am. She need time management skills because this is wrong! I asked the receptionist if she is sure the appointment is cancelled and I won't be charged, she said yes. But I'm not sure!!!

Dr. Sumpter was very thorough to answer questions and review our son’s new diagnosis with celiac disease. She was gracious with her time and interacted well with our 10 year old. She seemed very knowledgeable. I was very pleased with her approach as we look at our sons growth issues.

I love Dr. Sumpter. She informed me about new technology that could help me take control of my Type 1 Diabetes.

My son suffered from short stature and Dr. Sumpter listened to our concerns and ran all the proper tests to determine exactly why he was not growing. Once diagnosed, she got him started on the best treatment plan. He was able to reach an average height and is a confident young man. Thank you Dr. Sumpter!

My 13 year old daughter who is a straight A’s, all AP class student refuses to see Dr. Sumpter. Around our 5th or 6th visit she refused to go to her appointment. Stating she could not deal with the rude staff and the doctor talking down to her. I was at a complete loss as a parent as I have never seen my daughter so upset and firm on not seeing this doctor again.

I did not have to wait long, the office staff was friendly, and I really liked Dr. Sumpter. She explained everything, was nice, and had an overall great 'chair-side' manner....She even checked my daughter's ear when I expressed concerns that she had an ear infection. My daughter did have an infection and Dr. Sumpter prescribed an antibiotic. I am grateful that she took care of us and saved me the trip to see my daughter's primary care pediatrician. Since Dr. Sumpter is a specialist, it was not very easy to get an appointment with her, and her times are limited. Thanks Dr. Sumpter!
