Dr. Tullis took great care of my family member. From crisis stabilization to actualization. Thank you for taking care of my family and the community

He requires everyone to have the exact same treatment; if you do not follow it then he doesnt examine why the treatment is not being followed, instead he just kicks you out of his practice. A family member was under his care for addiction. He also happened to be suicidal that the time. Tullis kept pushing him into "are you addicted to the thought of suicide?" Someone in crisis is not in a place to objectively answer that question. Of course it seems it could be an addiction if it consumes your mind but that doesnt mean its an addiction. After threats my family member decided to leave this manipulative man. Tillis didn't care about the individual, he simply is looking for participants in his Suicide Anon study. Go to someone that doesnt have a system, but rather looks at the individual and tailors therapy to the individual. Otherwise you will be subjected to threats and belittling from practitioners like Ken for "failing" at his protocol.

There aren't many people I know who when they talk with you make you feel like you're clearly the most important person they know. Dr. Tullis has that quality. I always leave there feeling like I'm his only client. That's not every now/then, it's every time I talk with him. Doug

Dr Tullis is experienced, thorough and sensitive to patient's needs. He's worked with me as opposed to being closed-minded to my concerns. I'd recommend him above all others I've seen and researched.

Very cold fellow. When people are in need, a little less boredom and a little more bedside manner and distance might be a nice thing with which to deal.

Was checked into Lakeside April, 2008 in Memphis. Dr. Tullis was assigned to me. I was more than petrfied, I was paralized! Felt immediate connection and true caring. Did not do well with outpatient and felt horrible disgrace from him. Two years later I was back and he wouldn't take me. I don't understand someone that has been so open with their own downfalls but also that people didn't give up! Nine rehabs but yet wouldn't give me a second chance. Very hurtfull:(

Dr Tullis has a love/hate reputations. I'm a lover, so to speak... He's very firm about medication compliance and will not tolerate alcohol or drug use while undergoing treatment with him. Nevertheless, he has always agreed to adjust meds when I have asked to try that. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But he is willing to let you get and stay involved with your ongoing treatment. I had heard he was cold and pompous but I have found him to be warm and understanding and patient. I give him 5 *'s .
