He was responsible for the surgical education of Dr. Christopher D. Duntsch.

His program produced Dr Chris Duntsch, Dr Death. Please folks, do your homework and see someone else for your medical needs.

I can’t believe he is still practicing after the recorded conversations of him refusing to speak against Dr Chris D in Dallas (Dr Death). You may be a proficient surgeon, but your oath of do no harm, you violated that when you knowingly continued to sign off on him practicing at other hospitals, playing a role in more deaths and botched surgeries. Such a sad situation and so many Texas lives ruined. You knew what was happening and you didn’t want it to come back you. I can’t understand that. I hope you will reevaluate and put patient’s first.

He was hired to do surgery on both my hands and botched both. I was awake and had local anesthesia and so I was clearly aware of what was going on. Without asking me, he chose to supervise inexperienced resident doctors for both surgeries instead of doing them himself. On the second surgery, I was wheeled in to the operating room and his assistant opened my wrist with a scalpel and then we waited hours for Dr. Foley to arrive. The anesthesia was wearing off and excruciating pain was setting in (they said they could not administer more anesthesia) when he finally showed up hours late (nurse said he overslept). Most striking in my mind was Foley's exclamation, "No, no STOP!!" as the student doc was cutting into the nerve of my dominant hand. Foley told me before the surgery my hands would be restored and not to worry, because he had done the surgery on a fellow neurosurgeon who'd returned to operating without a problem. After the surgeries, I had trouble holding a pencil for years, let alone writing my name. Never played the piano again. Hands perpetually in pain. Had I known then what I know now I would have run away from this guy. I was an artist and a musician before. Both ended with the surgeries.
