He’s the best doctor ever!!!!!!!!!! 100% recommend
One of the best in Memphis. He did a great job & knows exactly what he's talking about.
Dr. Lunsford and his crew were so knowledgeable and kind! They easily put my smile back on.
He's the greatest
I visited Dr. Lunsford office today to have a lipoma removed from my right shoulder. His staff was very friendly and courteous. His nurse was just as nice as the office staff. However, upon meeting Dr. Lunsford he was very short and to the point. He explained what needed to happen and how long it would take. The concern that I have is that he could not look me in my face when explaining the procedure and that he finished by asking me in a very abrupt tone “What question do I have, I couldn’t respond because I was so shocked by his tone and mannerism. Not to mention that as soon as he finished looking at my shoulder he asked which shoulder was it, wow he really was paying attention. He told me the nurse would fill me in on the details for scheduling the surgery and then left the examining room very quickly. As I finished getting dress the nurse came in with the instructions, she ask did I have any questions. I told her no, but I was concern with Dr. Lunsford bedside manners, that he seems very cold. She said she would call me later and talk with me about it. Jeanne did call and explained that Dr. Lunsford is normally not so short and cold. She went on to explained that he had just received a phone call from his daughter before entering my room. Jeanne said she felt that his action may have been a spill over form the conversation with his daughter. My question to her was What happens if he gets a call before performing the surgery? Dr. Lunsford inability to separate personal from professional is a serious concern especially when we talking surgery. I explained to Jeanne that I was equally upset about the fact that either I accept his cold and unconcerned behavior or fork out another $45 co-pay to another doctor. I think I will fork out the additional co-pay, don’t want to risk losing my shoulder over a phone call.
I liked him so much I left him one of my toes each time he operated. First I was not sure about him, he was very quiet but we soon warmed to each other. Now I would not choose another Surgeon to work on me.
Wonderful doctor! If all medical professionals were like Dr Lunsford, I would never have any anxiety over medical issues.
I had a good experience with Dr. Lunsford and staff. I was referred to him by my general practitioner to evaluate a large cyst I'd had on my back for several years. Previous attempts to remove it by dermatologists had been unsuccessful as they had only lanced and worked at it from the outside, and it would come back. Dr. Lunsford explained it had to be removed completely by getting out the entire wall of the cyst. He offer to do it in office using local anesthetic, which would be a more uncomfortable procedure due to the numbing shots, or in hospital under general anesthesia. I choose the local. The numbing shots were painful, but not as bad as I'd feared. Within 30 minutes he'd perfectly filleted a walnut sized cyst out without rupturing it, stitched me up, and I was on with my day with a script of appropriate pain medication. He sent the cyst to pathology, which came back negative Thank God. They followed up a week later to see how I was doing. Wish I'd done this a long time ago.
I am having to write this for my sister, who thanks to Dr. Lunsford is terminal with colon cancer. Dr. Lunsford operated on her colon, which resulted in a leak. Dr. Lunsford did nothing when she complained of increased pain stating, " you would be sicker if there was a leak". After finally testing her for a leak, he did nothing, to see if it would "close itself up". After months of infection and pain, he finally placed drains in the huge abcess that resulted. My sister finally fired him, and had to go to MD Anderson in Houston, where they discovered that the colon had come completely detached and was dumping bacteria and waste into her abdomen, and the cancer was allowed to spread to the lymph system. Eventually she had to have part of her spine removed due to infection, and developed a hole the size of a head of lettuce that went through her back into her pelvis. I have never seen someone suffer so much in my entire life, and I work in the medical field. If Dr. Lunsford had caught his mistake sooner than she would not be terminal today. At the end he would not even return her phone calls. She has two children in high school, and now her only goal is to see them graduate. Forget about seeing them marry or have children. She was only 38 when Dr. Lunsford sentenced her to death.
operated on me and did a grat job.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
