Dr. Spiotta filled in for my cardiologist once. I had to have a heartcath done just as a precautionary measure since I had a heart attack at 44yrs . They took me back, he looked at my chart and when he saw that I was a previous smoker, talk about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He yelled at me throughout the entire procedure, used nothing to try and relax me, so I could listen to him yell at me. He also did NOT numb the area of where the cath went in. I was crying and telling him it hurt and he said "Well, maybe you'll think about this next time you want to smoke. He even called my husband in the waiting room to give him an update half way through and yelled at him for smoking. By the time I got back to the room, I was sobbing. I had to lay flat for 4 hours and my back was in so much pain but he told the nurse not to give me anything. NEVER, EVER will see this Doctor again!! I should have reported him that day but just wanted to go home. It's been a couple of years but I will never forget!!!!
