List of Laura Bishop's Reviews
I have been a patient at this clinic for 20 years. My usual physician retired and when I needed a diagnostic mammogram at Baptist Women's Center I was told I had to see a doctor in person. I made an appointment with Dr.Bishop and explained why I was there. She did not do a PAP as she said it wasn't necessary at my age. I didn't need anything else. When I received my EOB from insurance I found that she charged me $243.00 for a new patient preventive visit and a PAP smear. I called and explained to someone in Billing who said the charges will not be changed and this is normal. I now have to pay this highway robbery. I think this is unconscionable and trying to scam the insurance company. I will never go back and will not recommend her to anyone.
Worst GYN I’ve ever seen. Bad mouthed her previous retired partner (my MD for 20+ years). No interest in you as a patient. In/out. Worst bedside manner. Did unnecessary pap based on ACOG & never did a breast exam but documented it. Getting records to my new GYN was a nightmare. Acknowledges nothing. Office staff does not answer calls/messages. She needs to retire.
Visited Dr.B after my GYN for 2+ decades (her partner) retired. -badmouthed (snarky comments) her previous colleague twice… (unprofessional) -has one door out the door at any given time. Does not listen or give explanation despite asking -unnecessary testing :pap smear not indicated per ACOG/ Cancer screening standard of care. Asked, couldn’t give a good reason, did it anyway (multiple negatives the last decade). -never did a breast exam, yes I remember the cold hands every time (but documented it) -painful office procedure, did not recommend taking even ibuprofen before… other GYNs (I consulted after were shocked that she did not offer a topical or discuss options like a para-cervical block (I asked) - failed in office procedure… expected spotting, but bled almost 2.5 months straight (only 1-3 days in between 7-10 day back to back bleeding… coincidence? Maybe, but didn’t have that before that, was regular. -got a new GYN & couldn’t get records (or office response). Retire…
I love Dr. Bishop! She has been my doctor for 10 years and I wouldn't change for anything. She saved my life 2 years ago and I am forever grateful to be in her care. She listens to all my concerns and weighs all options with me when necessary. She's very well educated and informative.
Dr. Bishop is my HERO! I have been a patient of Ruch clinic and Dr. Bishop's for over 20 years. Almost 5 years ago when my daughter was born she saved the day when my daughter got stuck during delivery and most recently when I had my son she was my hero again! After a routine ob visit at 37 1/2 weeks, her and her staff noticed a change and decided to monitor me. Things took a quick turn in the office and I was immediately rushed to the hospital for an emergency c-section. If Dr. Bishop and Tracy (the sonogrammer) had not taken the necessary steps, I would have been out of the office and had a very different outcome. I love their experience and expertise. Dr. Bishop is always firm in her decisions and direction. During my recent delivery, I always felt like I was in great hands. During my stay in the hospital, Dr. Bishop came to check on me every day! She also told me her staff continued to ask about me and when I went back in the office for my follow up, several of the office staff me

Dr. Bishop was phenomenal from my very first office visit. She was punctual, made sure to explain all procedures throughout my pregnancy thoroughly, and always left time for questions at the end of each appointment. She was also accessible through the nurse line and any questions I had at any point between my appointments were answered quickly and urgently. I felt very comfortable under her care during ...
I recently had an Open Hysterectomy and all I can say is Thank you!Thank you !Thank you!! to Dr. Bishop and the entire Ruch Clinic staff. All were very professional and attentive to all of my needs. Dr. Bishop was very informative, comforting and open with all of my choices. I had my hopes set on a less invasive surgery but considering my condition Open was the best way to go. I was nervous and scared but Dr. Bishop reassured me of all the specifics & the rest is history now. The day of surgery she made me feel like I was her only patient. She came to visit me in preop and made sure I was ok and that all things were on schedule. She’s not a big person but her presence alone was Big too me & made me feel comfortable. The day after surgery the weather was awful but like a Superhero Dr. B showed up bright & early to do rounds & made sure everything went well through the nite for me. My overall experience was 10 stars and I highly recommend Dr. B & the RC staff for Exceptional OBGYN care.
Uninterested, detached , maybe she should have been a pathologist instead of an obgyn because she has the worst bedside manner ever
She made it so easy for me to leave Ruch Clinic. Completely uninterested in me or my medical problem. Came into the office walking out. Ruch Clinic has a great reputation with good doctors. Why they have her on staff is a mystery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
