Linda Lazar's Online Review Report Card

The only commented review that was good, was clearly speaking of a different doctor. They kept referring to he and him. They reviewed someone else; and, accidentally got put with hers.

If it's not functional constipation or celiac disease, I would not recommend. Before Doctor even came in they had us watch a you tube video on functional constipation.

I took my son to Dr. Lazar's office for an appointment. Our appointment time was for 1:30 pm. We arrived 30 minutes early for the appointment. We were put in an examination room an hour later. By 4:00, we were still in the examination room, and Dr. Lazar was nowhere to be found. I went out in the hall to see if I could find a nurse, or someone to tell me why we were still waiting, because I knew the office closed at 5 pm. No one seemed to know where Dr. Lazar was. By that point, my two year old son was tired, cranky, and wanted to go home. I was very upset as well. If it weren't for the fact that the appointment availability was so terrible, I would have left. But I needed to figure out why my son was not gaining weight and I figured that it was worth the sacrifice to wait, even though we had already been waiting for almost 4 hours. Well, Dr. Lazar walked in full of excuses why she was late, which made me even more furious. She said she had 1:00 patients who were late and it threw the whole schedule off. When I told her that we had actually been waiting since 1:00 for a 1:30 appointment, she then had this very stupid look on her face and apologized again. And what was even more upsetting is that she took one look at my son and said, "Oh yes, there is definitely something wrong with him. Look at his short stature". She then declared that she was certain that my son had celiac disease, and went to order the blood work. She didn't even come back to the room after that - her nurse did. Needless to say, several weeks went by, and still no word from her office about my son's test results, so I called the office. The nurse told me that my son's test results were negative, that he did not have celiac disease. I was relieved, however I decided that I would not be taking my son back to her office. She was so quick to diagnose my son with a single glance and insulted me by instantly saying there was something wrong with him. She lacked professionalism and tact. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I am sure that Dr. Linda Lazar is a very knowledgeable doctor however we did not always have the best of experiences. The first appointment we were told by her staff that my son would be undergoing a endoscopy and to not eat anything after midnight. We appeared for our appointment at 8am that morning and she didn't see my son for several hours. We had been misinformed of the type of appointment we were having and my son was starving. There was no apology for the misdirection. We scheduled a scope and in the mean time had allergy testing done in our hometown (2hrs away) and had the doctor send those results to her. The scope was done and we were very pleased, results came back and the diagnosis was no what we were hoping for. She scheduled an appointment for us to discuss treatment options. When we arrived they informed me that we were not on the schedule. I had an appointment card that they had printed and mailed to me so when I showed them that they offered to see my son "since we had driven two hours." No apologies or explanations were made as to why he wasn't on the schedule. Once in the room she seemed very unorganized and disheveled. She explained the diagnosis but couldn't seem to find my son's chart or any of the test results from the scope or allergy testing. She seemed to struggle explaining things to us and we left that appointment in tears and very confused. Thankfully our allergist was there to refer us to another gastroenterologist.

On my first visit to Dr. Lazar's office he was very pleasant and jovial. I suspect a previous reviewer was in a bad mood. You're going to see a doctor about your nose, of course he's going to want to take a look! Silly! Dr. Lazar has a slick sense of humor while getting his job done. Thoroughly enjoyed his service.

Dr. Lazar knows her stuff. She cares for the kids she treats. She treated me when I was a child. She treats my son now. She works with what my insurance will cover, while still giving him the kind of care he needs. He no longer has stomach pain or reflux. He is taking meds that are easy to administer and is for him to take. I highly recommend her. One cautionary word: she is not a southern. She gives it straight and without charm, but what she says is worth listening to.

DR. LAZAR OBVIOUSLY HAS MORE PATIENTS THAN SHE CAN HANDLE, BECAUSE THAT OFFICE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN FOLLOWING UP WITH PATIENTS OR THEIR PARENTS IN REGARDS TO RESULTS. MY CHILD HAD A PROCEDURE DONE OVER A WEEK AGO AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME AT THE END OF LAST WEEK WITH THE RESULTS AND STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM A WEEK LATER. THAT IS POOR FOLLOWUP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR OR HER STAFF, I WILL LOOK INTO SENDING MY CHILD TO A MORE PROFESSIONAL OFFICE THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE PATIENTS AND THEIR SITUATIONS. BECAUSE THE OFFICE DOESN'T.
