So sad to hear about his passing I only saw him a few times over the last year or so.. but he was a funny dude and a great Dr. very real.. RIP
best doc I had RIP doc. was a great psychiatrist. didn't put up with bs.
He changed my life for the better, will never forget him.
Hands down the best Doctor I’ve ever been blessed 2 know & if I ever get a chance 2 go see him again I’ll be tickled pink!! I miss him & his staff so much!!
Dr Luttrell takes the time to actually listen to his patients instead of sitting in front of a computer typing. He actually makes eye contact and explains everything thoroughly. I would recommend him to anyone needing chronic pain relief. He recommended alternative treatments instead of prescribing addictive narcotics for me. His wait time is under 10 minutes.
Dr. Luttrell is a disgrace to the psychiatric profession. His training is from a second-rate medical school and it shows in his knowledge of modern psychology and psychiatry. He approaches his practice with a primitive knowledge of human behavior and emotion. Essentially, he is of the opinion that ECT and frontal lobotomies should be the common practice, just as they were in 1940. He has a God complex and believes that his expertise, alone, is needed to "cure" mental illness. Intimidation, physical violence, and coercion are the standard at his Memphis Mental Health Institute practice. Human rights violations are rampant at his facility. Patients are tranquilized and then physically forced to sign paperwork, which gives the appearance of voluntarily submitting to his mad-science. If you ever find yourself in this doctors' care, I would recommend hiring an attorney as quick as possible because he will continue victimizing his patience unless he can be stopped.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
