Dr. Giel repaired a rotator cuff repair amp had to reattach my bicep.  Everything went as Dr Giel said it would.  Their PT crew is also awesome amp understanding.

Ortho Memphis is definitely five stars . Twice I have injured both feet and was a walk in. Was not there total time a hour and a half . Problem was dx and cast and sent on my way . Employees and Drs are great This place is wonderful when accidents happen especially at inconvenient times . Memphis has needed a place like this for a long time . I WOULD NOT SEND MY DOG THERE FOR SURGERY I did have a consult with DR.THOMAS GIEL who was a complete A$$ Ive never been treated more poorly by a physician in my life. I happen to be a physicians wife and although that doesnt warrant special treatment they do know that I know the medical field bc I manage a medical practice. I was treated wa med by him Im allergic to 5 min after telling him. Terrible bedside manner as well as physicianIve now had surgery for a complete tear of my rotator cuff by Dr. Christian and I could NOT HAVE BEEN MORE MISERABLE Do NOT GO THERE It was a living hell the entire recovery process  If I could do it all over again I would definitely choose someone less arrogant pompous and more sympathetic to my pain and suffering

From the first call to book an appointment to checking out after my appointment this place has been a first class experience. The ladies at the front desk are kind and helpful. The PTAs techs and Physical Therapists are friendly and helpful. They really want to see you improve and thrive. I’ve done both pool therapy and gym therapy. It’s been so helpful and encouraging to see my problems begin to resolve.

We have been extremely pleased with the care from Orthomemphis And I love that the appointment times are honored and that the wait is minimal.

Dr. Giel is horrible. He looked at me  never touch me or ordered and testing. He said  as I said without touching me  that I had a fluid pocket. This was 6 months after the initial injury. Now it is 18 months later and Im having problems walking and doing anything standing. Ive gone to a different orthopedic doctor come to find out the Bulge is actually my muscle hanging off. This arrogant doctor has left me so messed up. Now Im looking at major surgery and a very lengthy recovery. Do yourself a favor and at least get a second opinion. Dont wait like I did. This doctor comes highly unrecommended.

I have seen 3 Dr.s at this practice. Dr. Brown was excellent. Never had to wait a long time. The other 2 were at the Spine Center whole different story. Wait times 2 hrs for both appts. Surgery consult was a waste of time the Dr. had no recommendation or suggestions for me. Just kept saying you decide what you want to do you are the one in pain. No guidance seemed like I was wasting his time after I waited 2 hrs to see him. I have decided to get a second opinion. I have requested that my medical records be sent elsewhere. I sent in the requested release form. I waited 2 days and tried to call to find out the turnaround time. After several prompts and holding I was always sent to a voice mail and told to leave a message and someone would return my call promptly. Three days and 3 messages later no one has returned my call from the medical records dept. I also left a message for the Dr.s nurse asking about my MRI disk that was not given to me. She never bothered to return my call either.

The front desk is very nice. The doctor that I came across I dont feel confident about. I went in for my left knee that is in pain from over exertion. This knee was dislocated last year so the Dr. Should have been aware of my history. I came in with blood pressure 15891. I asked if it may be due to poor circulation in that knee but they told me to wait to hear from the Dr. First he tried to tell me my dislocation happened to my right knee based off their reports.  The reports were incorrect. It was my left. They only did an xray... that only gets the skeletal... not tissue possible blood clots etc. He doesnt see anything wrong he just felt it was inflammation. He recommended two things that will make my blood pressure highER. I asked him which is best because my BP was high already. He responded as if he didnt read any of my vitals before coming in. Needless to say Im in the ER .Great front desk. Not so sure about the Doctors.  I hope they realize that you think you can have people constantly coming to you that invoiceincome doing patch work... not me... if Im not confident in your practice Im  gone.

Not impressed Front office staff is rude at the Briarcrest location but the Southaven location is really nice. Weve seen two of the physicians and were not impressed with them either. However I would highly recommend Dr. Christian over any other docs but he doesnt treat everything....

I was told by my doc at Baptist Humphreys Clinic to see an ortho for a pain in my neckshoulders.  I had been examined for a minor head injury and cleared and was told to see an ortho for the residual neckshoulderback pain.  I went to Orthomemphis and was turned away and told to go to the ER because the pain was related to a head injury even though the head injury had been examined and cleared.  I will not be back here for any reason.  I think they were busy and just wanted to send me on down the road.  Very unprofessional.
