Good service, friendly and professional staff
Dr. Woodman is the best, no-nonsense bariatric surgeon, bar none. There are those who say they haven't been treated with respect. Well, he doesn't play and certainly doesn't give you permission to provide excuses for being fat. We are all adults and are responsible for our decisions. He expects nothing less. He tells it like it is. He's got one of the best stats nationwide when it comes to patient success rates, as well as the mortality rate when compared to the national mortality rate for bariatric procedures. His team has a thorough plan from start to finish. If you follow everything, you, too, will be a success. I'm down nearly 120 pounds, 14 months post-OP. I started at over 350 lbs at 5'10". I used to sit in my Lay-Z-Boy and stuff my face. Now, I run marathons. Call them today to begin a new you.
Terribly rude. I was not treated with respect at all. Go to Dr. Fore with Desoto Bariatrics for weight loss. Much more professional.
Dr. Woodman and his whole staff are "AMAZING"!!!!! I could not ask for a better surgeon than him. He is the best weight loss surgeon in the whole world. Today is 12/02/2017 and I have lost 60 lbs since last year. I lost 35 lbs before the surgery and since my surgery which was on 11/13/2017 I have lost 25 lbs and I had the gastric sleeve surgery which is more effective than the lapband. I started the process to get my surgery on 05/15/2017 by going to one of his seminars which is required before you get your first appointment with him. I work out 3 times a day for 30 to 45 minutes each time at Shelby Farms or the YMCA. When I eat I do portion control ("Children's Size Plate" 1/4 meat 1/4 starch and 1/2 vegetables). I eat mostly vegetables, fruits, chicken and fish. I read the nutritional facts labels when I am grocery shopping and when preparing all my meals. I eat three meals a day and a snack in between meals. I drink mostly water with lemons or I add a flavor packet that has no sugar and zero calories. I use an app called "MyFitnessPal" which so much helps tell you your calories and fat and sugars that your consuming. I stay away from "ALL BREAD PRODUCTS" and fast food, junk food, cream soups, cream foods, cheese, butter, nuts, sour cream, mayonnaise, vending machine products, carbonated drinks, soda and alcoholic beverages and sugary drink, bologna, hot dogs, dough nuts, ice creams, popcorn, Starbucks drinks, "ALL" cooking oils including olive oil, bacon and sausage and peanut butter. Dr. Woodman says you should only consume 30g of fat a day. Since my surgery and since I have started losing the weight I am off all of medications and don't have heavy menstrual cycles and I have so much more energy that I can keep up with my own kids and do things I was not able to do before. Weight loss surgery is not a magic wand. You have to work hard to loss the weight and you also have to make a major life change when it comes to the surgery. It was so worth it, I just wish I had done this a lot earlier. If your having an heard time losing weight and you have almost tried every kind of diet and you are over weight and want to get health and make a major life change to a new you I so recommend going to one of Dr. Woodmans seminars and start the path to a better new you. You will feel 1000× better if you did.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
