List of Muir Edward S, Md's Reviews
He has been my doctor for several years and I would not trade him for anything
I had the same experience as most of the comments. I typed out what occurred and then realized that it sounds so ridiculous that no one would believe it, but it’s true. He is rude and condescending and has an ego that goes for miles. Dude, you went to medical school, you didn’t find world peace. His office staff is unhelpful and gossipy (except for the new woman that works there). The kind where they walk up front because someone told them something in the back and they need to see for themselves. ??. I would definitely avoid him. There are way better places to go. I decided I didn’t want him to handle my medical care based on his demeanor and his inability to remember simple facts. I called another hematologist. They got me in right away for a second opinion and though I didn’t say who the doctor was, they said that they knew who it was based on what I had told them, and this happens a lot. If you have a bad reputation among your peers, that’s not a good thing. Beware.
Very unprofessional when it comes to other people’s time. If you know you have a client, why not order meds and have it ready instead of patients pulling 10hr shifts waiting
Meet him when I was in the hospital with a Pulmonary Embolism. Very nice and spends a lot of time talking to you.
3 weeks and still no call about results. I’ve left 4 messages with no return call. Poor staff and patient care
Dr. Muir is the best I first met Dr. Muir around 2AM at Baptist East almost 16 years ago, after multiple pulmonary embolisms. He talked to me like a person and looked at me directly when he spoke to me. And sincerely wanted me to understand what was wrong and what we could do about it. He wasn't the first doctor I talked to, but he is the first that explained it to me effectively and seemed to care. I have a clotting disorder and connective tissue disorder so I have a few more doctors helping me now, BUT Dr. Muir will forever be my favorite. He is incredibly knowledgeable and informative, and doesn't rush you out the door. I consider myself lucky to have found him. I've followed him to every new building and/or practice association, and I will continue to do so.
Some people do not have the emotional intelligence to be in healthcare. There is truly nothing worse than a doctor who can't even pretend to care about the person he is treating.
After 3 weeks of attempting to make a new appointment with Dr Muir, with a referral from my cardiologist, I have still been unsuccessful in obtaiing an appointment. Dr Muir comes with the highest of recommendations, however his staff is rude and condescending. As a medical professional, I understand that the first contact a patient makes with the front office is a reflection on the provider. The treatment I have received from his office staff is lacking in empathy in every form and fashion. I truly hope this is not a reflection of the personal care Dr. Muir shows his patients.
I have been a patient of Dr. Muir’s for over 20 years now. He is by far the best of the best at what he does! He has always been extremely informative as well as caring and understanding. I always tell others that his knowledge of science and medicine is absolutely phenomenal!
I've been a patient of Dr. Muir's for 5+ tears. He and his team are as good as it gets. I highly recommend Dr. Muir and his staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
