Absolutely the best surgeon in Memphis! He came in to operate on me in the middle of the night which is a testament to his dedication to his patients. I can not say enough great things about him and his staff. He is the best!

Refused to provide adequate post operative pain relief and while his staff is nice, I’m thoroughly disappointed in his total lack of concern or attention pre- and post-procedure. He didn’t even bother to check on me after my procedure and had his nurse send me a text to recommend if I had pain issues I should take medication that is contraindicated by my charted medical conditions. If you go to see this provider for surgery, be forewarned they will not provide adequate pain relief and treat you like you’re a junkie.

Did not check in post-procedure. Will not provide adequate post-op pain relief. Recommended drugs specifically contraindicated by my medical history and charts. Left me in completely unnecessary pain for 3-4 days post-op.

Dr. Stoikes performed both an open abdominal hernia repair with mesh as well as a cholestectomy. I cannot say enough great things about him and his office. They schedule their appointments so quickly and the time in the waiting room is minimal. Dr. Stoikes takes his time with you and addressing all your questions and concerns and giving you honest answers. Allison, his nurse, is so wonderful. I wish every doctors office had an “Allison”. She answers any questions you have and truly cares for the well-being of all Dr. Stoikes patients. I pray I never need another surgery, but if I do, it’ll be done by Dr. Stoikes!

Hands down Dr. Stoikes is the best surgeon in Memphis. He has operated on me and several family members. He has excellent bedside manner and is very skilled.

Dr. Stoikes performed an inguinal hernia repair for me in 2020 and a hiatal hernia repair for me in 2021. Both surgeries could not have gone better! Dr. Stoikes also took plenty of time to explain to me why I needed each surgery in my initial consultations, and then visited with me right before my surgeries, as well as right after, and he was warm and professional throughout. My recoveries and outcomes from both surgeries were also perfect, in my opinion, and I see no way for everything to have gone better! I could not recommend a surgeon more highly, and all of his staff, especially his main nurse, Allison, are excellent.
