Worst hospital I have ever come across. Bad bedside manner, complete lack of communication to family of patients. And if there is any communication at all it is most likely complete incorrect information about the patient and the Security is down right hateful To everyone that comes in. If you value your loved one and want them to have the best care possible this is most definitely NOT the place to go!!!
Went back to er this time they were caring stand 3 days with chest pain they done a cath think God no blocks in my heart I left 2 hours earlier be for check out but they were amazing the doctors were caring the nurses were amazing and that were in the er and on the 5 floor even though I left ama there were amazing think them for being caring and amazing
This place was very good to me and my family. My friend went in with a gunshot to the stomach. They took very good care of them and the staff was very professional. They answered all my questions and broke things down to how I need to understand.
My son was airlifted to Regional One July 24th. When we first arrived they told us not to get our hopes up that our son would probably never wake up and he would be in a vegetated state for the rest of his life. Within two and a half months my son had woken up, was saying small words, was able to move his right side and his left side and was able to communicate by shaking his head yes or no. The doctors and nurses on the 4th floor went out of their way to help and provide us with as much information as they could they were very polite and very considerate. My son was supposed to be in his big brother's wedding but due to the accident and the brain injury he could not make it so one nurse donated her phone so that my son good video chat as and he could still see his big brother get married. When it was time for him to go to a different hospital the caseworker, the social worker, and the administrator of the hospital were godsend and blessed our family in more ways than others. There is nothing I could ever say or do that could ever repay the nurses , the doctors, the administrator and the caseworker for all the blessings and joy that they had brought to our family's life and helped with the healing processing of giving our son back to us. Thank you so much Regional one health center I couldn't have asked for a better hospital for one of my family members to be taken to God bless.
The hospital staff was very rude and didn’t care. If you ask questions they made you felt like you were bothering them and took forever. They do not care about patients or families mental health and some not even the patients physical health. The reason I am giving 5 stars is because of how amazing the Turner Rehab was. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and caring. Me and my family were treated with the utmost respect and felt very cared for.
Very short staffed and the CCA room for trauma is just curtains with a desk set up in the middle they need to hire more people and remodel the building because it's ridiculous honestly no Central heat or air on the bottom floor nothing besides curtains and beds
I was airlifted here 1 week ago after being involved in a very serious automobile accident. I broke all of my ribs on both sides and my sternum. If not for the doctors, nurses and staff here, I am certain my ultimate situation would have been very different. Every doctor, nurse and staff member here has been nothing but professional, helpful and courteous. I was in the trauma area and was transferred to the 5th floor after 4 days. These nurses and nurses aids have been simply amazing! I was in awe watching these nurses work in less than ideal circumstances. They never lost their cool and I never witnessed anything but caring and professional behavior from any nurse or staff member in this hospital. The issues I have with this place are with the people in charge of the upkeep and maintenance of this building. Also with the people in charge of making sure that these nurses have the people and materials to do their jobs. I would tell anyone that the nurses and staff here are the best I have ever encountered in a Memphis hospital ever and I have been here for 55 years!
this is the worst hospital in the city i’d rather die than be taken here.
Waiting time is ridiculous! (4 hours) and doesn’t show much interest in patients definitely wouldn’t recommend!
I wish I could give negative stars because this "place" deserves nothing. My father was found unresponsive in his hotel room while traveling from Michigan to Texas. His hotel was in Missouri but that hospital transferred him here due to a brain bleed. I wasn't contacted for TWELVE HOURS after he was in their care and that was only when he started coding and wasn't expected to live much longer. The attending doctor tried unsuccessfully to get me to agree to a DNR and I refused which he wasn't happy about. I spent hours on the phone trying to get answers, trying to get info about when he had arrived there and from where, how to get his belongings, how to get him to a funeral home after he passed, etc. I never got the same answer twice. They call themselves the best healthcare in the state of Tennessee. I used to work for the University of Michigan and I can tell you hands down the level of care at this hospital is abhorrent compared to U of M. They told us an autopsy would cost $3000-$5000 and it should have just happened automatically since we don't really know what happened to him. Had I been contacted shortly after he arrived, I could have at least said goodbye to him in a hospital bed instead of at a funeral home. I wouldn't go here for a paper cut. Seriously. Awful, awful facility.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
