Since 2019 I’ve battled dizziness and balance issues. Was recommended to this ear clinic by someone who went there years ago for Meineres Disease which was what I had been diagnosed with. I drove 3.5 hours to be seen at this clinic. My first visit was in April of 2021in which I was also told I had Meineres by Dr Shea & I was suppose to have a Gentamicin injection to help with this condition but was diagnosed with cancer the next month & had to put off having this procedure due to cancer treatments. I went back to this clinic in Feb of 2022 once done with cancer treatments because I was still battling poor balance, frequent falls, and daily dizziness. Even though my vertigo attacks had stopped I was still battling daily for a normal life. I underwent testing before I saw drShea and once I saw him he said all my tests were normal & gave no reason for why I’m having balance issues & dizziness & instructed me to just walk everyday & gave me exercises for dizziness. I requested a copy of all my testing before I left the visit and once I got home I noticed my tests were not all normal & the person who conducted the tests had noted that I had some issues during the tests and a “central” problem could not be excluded. This stood out to me because I’ve been told before that my problem is a central vestibular condition rather than a peripheral vestibular condition. Now I’m left to try and find another doctor to help me figure this out. They were told that my eye doctor even said something was wrong and I may need to see a neurologist. However, he stated everything was normal on my tests & never even discussed this finding with me. Don’t waste your time just because you’ve heard this clinic is suppose to be the best. I will not be back after realizing he just brushed off something that was clearly abnormal on my testing. The lady at the checkout counter is very hateful as well & seems like she has no idea what she is doing. The nurse was wonderful though.

Communication prior to appointment could have been much better, but the visit was very pleasant and prompt. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic or to return myself.

All staff very friendly. Dr. Shea listens to your concerns and is good at explaining his treatment for you. Sometimes wait time is a little long. But usually due to several test he is doing to decide what is the best treatment option for me. Would not go anywhere else.

I've had multiple surgery performed by Dr. Paul Shea. Since he passed I've had to see Dr. Paul Shea Jr. I have nothing actually against him but he doesn't have the care & concern or bedside manner as his Dad. He just seems kinda distant in my opinion. But, I could tell he does know his stuff. I guess in the end that's what matters.

Dr. Shea refused to treat me or even speak with me after my husband and I commented on his poor choice of words and downright offensive statements. Absolutely no manners. We had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 arrived at 12:00 and were told by him to leave at 4:05. He was texting during appointment.

The Shea clinic is iconic in Memphis because they are multi-generational. Be warned that the customer service is some of the worst you will experience. We waited over 90 minutes to see the doctor and had to leave. When we called to reschedule the staff unapologetically said be prepared to wait 3 hours before you can see the doctor next time. Truly out of touch with the customer/patient.

Would give a zero if possible. This will be our last visit to this office. My mother's appointment was at 8 am. We arrived at 7:50 . It is 8:50 and we are still in the waiting room. We are here for a simple routine procedure that takes less than 30 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. This is the second time we've been here. And this is the second time this has happened. It's no wonder patients don't get seen according to their appointment time when staff and drs do not arrive until 8:15 or later. OMG We just went to the back 9:23 am just to sit and wait some more. Let's see how much longer this takes. Finally a Dr at 9:40. His only excuse. There is only one of me.

Excellent ENT Specialist who took the time to genuinely explain my conditons and options for treatments.
