Paul Klimo Md's Online Review Report Card

We were told that my son had a ganglioglioma at the end of July 2022. We live in Montana where there is not an abundance of pediatriac neurosurgeons. With no solid leads, I contacted St. Jude's who referred me to Dr. Klimo. Dr. Klimo called me personally within an hour of contacting St. Judes and immediately put me at ease. He told me he would review my son's MRI and that everything was going to be "a-ok". We had a consult with him later that week and were booked for sugery a day later. It was the easiest process at one of the most difficult times of our lives. We are now a week post op and I can't recommend Dr. Klimo highly enough. Boston may be rated #1, but I think anyone would be hard pressed to find a better neurosurgeon in the US, possibly world wide. His thoroughness, bedside manner, and follow up are all top notch. The entire team who works with Dr. Klimo, his assistant surgeons, nurses, and admin are all wonderful. If you find yourself in the unfortunate position where you need this type of doctor, at least you can be at peace with the fact that you are reciving the best possible care. Thank you so much Dr. Klimo, Dr. Cameron, and Kendyl.

Dr. Klimo is the best in his field. My son was diagnosed with a brain tumor and after much research, I understood that this was very difficult to remove. I am from Michigan and spoke to many nuerosurgeons in the state and nobody that I had spoke to had removed this tumor in the location it was in. Also, I had gotten many different opinions on what course of action i should take. After doing some research to find a doctor in the country that had done this. I was able to find Dr. Klimo. I called his office and spoke with Kendyl (who was great) and she informed me to send my sons report and images over to them. The next day, I got a call from Dr. Klimo (after hours) to let me know what the situation was and what the best course of action was. Also, he informed that he had performed this specific surgery (not an easy one) but had done it many times with success. Fast forward 2 weeks later, we took a 12 hour drive to Tenessee to meat Dr. Klimo at his office. And not only was he professional in every way, but also kind hearted. He eased our fears about my sons situation. The whole clinic was great. The nurses even knew who my son was without ever meeting him. I have to say it was comforting. Fast forward 4 days and Dr. Klimo performed surgery and by the grace of god, was able to remove the whole tumor with no complications or damage to the brain. The surgery took about 8 hours and we reciecved a call every hour to let us know what was going on with my son. Finally, I recieved word from Dr. Klimo that surgery was done and my son was in recovery. My son is doing very well and all thanks to Dr. Klimo and his expertise. Obviously, any parent is gonna want the best for there childs health care and we looked and looked to find someone capable of doing this. Dr. Klimo is a fantastic doctor and genuine and a great human being and very caring for the family involved. I would highly encourage anybody to reach out to Dr. Klimo for pediatric nuerosurgery. Hear what he has to say and of course make your decision. But i Can tell you first hand, there no one else I would rather have perform on my child than Dr. Klimo. He is an angel on earth. Dr. Klimo performed two stealth craniotomy’s on our 4 year old son to remove a large malignant tumor from his pineal region (the middle of the brain). Across the two surgeries Dr. Klimo performed a gross total resection…and it was a very tough case. At one point during the second surgery, we were told he may not be able to remove the remaining tumor and we were devastated. But Dr. Klimo did not give up on our son and the tumor was removed giving our child a greater chance of surviving his cancer. Each surgery took more than 8 hours. Each time our son was delivered back to us functioning. Opening his eyes, sitting up in bed, responsive, talking, etc. It was such a huge blessing on a very hard path. We are forever grateful for the care we received and for Dr. Klimo’s talent, compassion and abilities. He is the best as far as we’re concerned and he earned our trust as a wonderful surgeon.

Although Dr. Klimo is a pediatric neurosurgeon, he operated on me, a woman in her late 60's. I had been dealing with problems from enlarged ventricles for years. When I began to fall for no apparent reason, I was referred to Dr. Klimo in Memphis. I took several MRI's with me, but after seeing them, he wanted one more view. He discovered what everyone else had missed. I had a membrane across my 3rd & 4th ventricle. The surgery involved drilling a hole through the membrane. This immediately solved my problem. I feel I owe Dr. Klimo my life.

Dr Klink performed brain surgery on my loved one and he was AWESOME! I felt so comfortable leaving my loved one in his care!

Dr. Paul Klimo is one of the greatest doctors I’ve met in my lifetime. He passionate about his job and he takes care of his patients. He is God sent my son just recently had brain surgery that was performed by Dr. Klimo and Dr.Flemings and these two doctors really handle business and take care of their patients I couldn’t have gotten blessed with better doctors. He is the greatest!!!’n

I love me some Dr. Klimo and Mandi his nurse and other staff are just so friendly and professional. He performed my surgery over a week ago but from the first moment I met him and his staff at SMC they were nothing but nice! Even when I tell people who performed my surgery they say "You have a very Good Doc". They answered all 100 of my questions and are still there for me. And still encourage me not to hesitate to call if I need them. I work in healthcare as well and let me tell you it's amazing when people are so awesome toward you during a scary time in your life. Dr. Klimo is an amazing Neuro surgeon! My son was diagnosed with craniopharyngioma in December of 2014, our local doctors in Missouri had given up hope and told us it wasn't anything else they could do for him. DR. Klimo stepped in and gave us hope,he performed a total tumor resection on our son September of 2015. Dr. Klimo is a very personable physician;he didn't treat us like a medical record number, he was very compassionate and an all around astounding physician!

Dr.Klimo has been my daughter shakiriahs neurosurgeon since she was born he is awesome and goes above and beyond for his patients we love going there he sits down and talks everything through with you so your on board with whats going on he is amazing and we absolutely love going to see him KLOMO ROCKS!!!??????

Dr. Klimo removed a cyst from our 1 year old son's brain. He was excellent all around, both in terms of his ability which was evident, and in terms of his interactions with us as parents and keeping us focused and calm. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Klimo.
