River City Pediatrics's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to this office by a Co-Worker (highly recommended) and my experience has been awful. I called to get a new patient appointment and was told that I have to come to the office first to sign a release before I move forward. I called back and the young lady left me on hold. I then called from my cell phone to ask if I could print the release that was available online, send it over, and then make the appointment? The young lady rudely told me that, I had to drop it off or fax it, those were my options. I proceeded to ask, how would I know when I can make an appointment, she stated that WE WILL CALL YOU, so rudely!!! Well, my first impression is not good, and I guess, I'm going to keep looking. Parents keep looking, because if they treat new parents this way, I'm not sure if the service would be any better.

I am changing my review. Dr Stecker personally called me and helped me schedule. She is great.

Worse clinic ever. Dr Miller requires Covid test my son got tested for Covid flu and RSV Christmas morning instead of opening presents and they all came back negative. Well upon going to the clinic the nurse ( African American woman with braids and glasses) requested we get a Covid, RSV and Flu teat which I refused because he doesn't have any of that. She came back and said well Dr Miller looked into it and they did not check for that at the hospital they only checked for Covid (not RSV and flu) I said okay at this point someone is lying (assuming the hospital lied to me) provide me with the documentation so I can make a complaint towards the hospital. She then brought the manager Jess in and she stated if we refuse Covid testing we can leave I said well why would your nurse come in expressing that the HOSPITAL ER at Methodist Lebanor did not test for those things when they told me they did while sitting at the hospital Christmas morning. She then proceeded to say the nurse didn't mean that she meant they didn't send it off to get tested.??? But they too offer a rapid test as well 15-20 min test so what's the difference because you all don't "send your test off either" This clinic is a joke. Clean but a joke filled with inexperienced pediatricians who lie and as a result I do not trust you with my child. Please be cautious!!!! Clean facility but do not trust your child in their hands unless it's Dr Geiger which my childhood pediatrician recommended and she unfortunately is not taking patients at this time. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

We love River City Peds! Dr. Crewse is our primary pediatrician and she is fantastic - straightforward, kind, and sincere. She also has kids of her own, so she has the perspective of both the doctor and the parent which helps tremendously. If I ever need something like a doctor's note or answers to a medical question, she is quick to respond on the mychart messaging system. I noticed a few reviews mentioned that they felt brushed off, so I want to address it. If she isn't worried about something odd your little one is doing, she will tell you. If you still want to check on something to address an internal fear or concern of yours, ask her again. She is listening! She is a wonderful doctor, and my kids love her. And honestly - all the doctors at the practice are fantastic. Even if I can't get my kids in to see Dr. Crewse, I know they are in great hands with any of the doctors on call. Absolutely wonderful practice. They've recently added a lactation consultant as well and she is wonderful too. Such a knowledgeable and skilled team! *River City Peds did have some issues with phone hold times for awhile in the last two years, but I think it was due to some staff transitions and shortages. It has since improved a lot, and I love that they listen to their patients and are always striving to improve! They are so helpful when I need paperwork or to reschedule an appt. I HIGHLY recommend River City Peds.

Dr. Crewse has been the pediatrician for both of my babies and I absolutely love bringing them to her. She always answers my questions and never invalidates my concerns. She is informative and is thorough in making sure all is well with my little ones. She also is very helpful when I have messaged over my chart or called the office and always gets back to me in a timely manner. I drive an hour to see her because I trust her that much!

I highly recommend this office. I recently moved to Tampa Florida so I am not at this office anymore but my daughter went here for the first 8 months of her life and I loved the on call line where you can call anytime no matter how late or early and ask questions if something is wrong. It was so reassuring as a first time parent. They are very quick to respond to or return phone calls and messages through MyChart and I can attach pictures and videos of any concerns I have which I have done many times. We used Dr. Crewes and never had any issues. She can be short about things sometimes and seem like she is dismissing concerns but it’s because she is so confident in what she does. Anytime I had doubts, she ended up being right. She really knows what she is doing. I had a great experience here.

Dr Cruz will continue to drive patients away. She does not listen to parents and their concerns. Currently looking for a new pediatrician which sucks because that’s a very clean and well kept facility but I can’t put my baby at risk while under her care. I wish Dr Giager would begin accepting new patients again.

Dr. Stecker has been my child’s pediatrician since birth and I have always had an excellent experience here at River City Peds, but today Ms. Brittany at the front desk was everything except professional, unpleasant demeanor, not helpful with temp machine and just plain rude. If you are the first person people see, a smile & real or fake pleasantries goes a long way. 😏

Doctor Cruz does not listen to the parents. Furthermore, she's not even a real doctor. I have taken my daughter for an ear infection to her office multiple times over the past 6 to 12 months. Not ONCE has she recommended that I take my daughter to see an ENT doctor. I have voiced my concern repeatedly about my daughter's ear infections to her on every single visit - yet, she never listens to the parent. She's awful. I will no longer bring my child to River City Pediatrics.

Dr. Giger is the best physician, however the office manager and the staff is terrible. They don’t care anything about the children nor do they care about your time. They are really careless with everything. I would not recommend because you have to deal with the terrible inconsiderate staff before you see the physican.
