Seem to care about my back issues. Ordered a MRI & said OrthoSouth would contact me to schedule. Still waiting to hear from the 4 days later.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at doctor's appointment. Dr. Murrell was knowledgeable about what the MRI was showing and my condition, but it was as if he had one goal...to schedule a surgery. I was not asked about my pain level, how my life is impacted by my injury, how my work is impacted by my injury, my improvement or worsening over the past couple weeks, nor did he discuss a pain management plan. He walked out after only 2 minutes and said he was going to see about scheduling surgery and never came back. I thought he would bring someone in to discuss and finalize the rest of the information. He did not. He sent a lady in with paperwork to sign. When I asked if the doctor was coming back to discuss the rest of my care, she said no. I waited weeks to see a doctor. I cried the whole way home and completely hopeless. I am a perfectly healthy, mid-30's woman that was completely independent until this happened. I am completely numb from the waist down on the right side. I have been unable to work, drive, or function normally in 2-3 weeks. Update: Following this review, I was called directly by Dr. Murrell with a gracious apology. He took the time to call me on his day off and talked with me thoroughly for nearly 25 min. He understood my frustration, listened to how I've been impacted, explained my options, discussed pain management and even explained the surgery approval and scheduling process. As far as OrthoSouth Staff: There is one girl at the front desk that is super sweet and remembered me by name from the first time I walked in. I still struggle to get professional and timely communication from the people answering phones/nurses/assistants. I'm sure there are many patients to manage, as this is a big office, so I am trying to give them all the benefit of the doubt. I'm hoping my next appointment goes a little smoother.

Murrell is absolutely the best!

The doctor visit was very good he explained my issue clearly but it appears his staff have a problem. Someone on his staff is to schedule my surgery and it's been just over two weeks and two phone calls and I have heard nothing about my surgery schedule.

He did a fantastic job. No pain in my back.

Saw Dr Murrell as a workin in his schedule. He and staff were very attentive and I was given prompt and appropriate care for my problem.

Dr Murrell is the best, very professional the only surgeon that I trust to do surgery on my back.

Dr. Murrell got me an appointment within couple days. He did my spinal fusion,lumbar in 2011. Was having several problems and right off did some test. He is having me do a follow up appt couple weeks. He is a very considerate,concerned Dr. and he listens to his patients.

Dr. Murrell is rude! He didn't speak when he entered the room and didn't give any eye contact either as if he really didn't want to talk to me about my injury.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Horrible experience!!! Don't come to this place!!!
