List of Tejinder S Saini Md's Reviews
Dr. Saini is one of the absolute best, all around! I have been a patient for years now, on and off – his staff are always very attentive and professional, not to mention kinds and understanding. His office always feels like such a safe environment, and he always seems to genuinely have that care that I believe is lacking in the healthcare system these days, especially when it comes to treating addiction and anxiety disorders.
Am a surgeon myself but so freaked out by having procedures done on me. Dr. Saini is known among most of us doctors as the doctor to go to for scopes or GI issues. He's super smart and so kind and reassuring. Just got a procedure done by him and from start to finish, what a great seamless experience. He does procedures at a surgery center where literally you could not have a more pleasant experience, and he has worked with the same anesthesiologist Dr Nguyen for over 20 years and he was amazing too! His office staff are college students but man oh man, they handle the office so well. They know the policies and are able to handle questions quickly. From appointment to scope was only 4 days. I'm really grateful for them and for Dr Saini!
I wrote the most heartfelt email I could -- this doctor broke my heart. The worst thing you can do to a patient is give them hope and then just take it away because the case (ie human being) was too complex.
Brilliant Doctor with exceptional knowledge of subject matter and outstanding communicating skills. He has treated me with great compassion for 23 years. He continues to inform and educate me to help better my quality of life. Ram Challa
I never met Dr. Saini but I spoke to his office staff at length twice about the urgency of wanting a colonoscopy after my sister was just diagnosed and had surgery for colon cancer. I forwarded all of my records from my last colonoscopy six years ago and had the procedure scheduled for next week. I sat in the office today for 45 minutes expecting him to walk in any minute after going over my entire medical history with a young lady. Instead a different young woman came in and said that my insurance plan is not covered by his office anymore and it would be a cash visit. When I asked her why it wasn't checked out sooner she said it was just an error. It was a complete waste of time and it's very unprofessional. They need to get some experienced people in there.
Dr. Saini was nice. The office was all about collecting money and less interest in patient care. Be careful with your insurance! They say they accept your insurance but are "out of network" with most insurance companies. You will get a surprise bill!
If you have endless hours to waste and enjoy running in circles, contacting your pharmacy multiple times due to errors and being spoken to in the most condescending manner by Dr. Saini's front office staff then you are at the right place. Do you enjoy constant debate about the obvious mistakes the office staff have made with no accountability on their part, medications, scheduling, and , surgery instruction errors AND putting your life in the hands of such an incompetent staff--then you are in the right place! Dr. Saini, should really know better, since he will inevitably be Legally Liable for his staff's incompetence. Makes one wonder about the Dr.'s judgement and priorities--certainly not the patient but certainly the Bank account
Absolutely Amazing Dr. Saini is a true gift! I was admitted to the hospital for tremors, lower extremity paralysis and slurred speech. However, prior one of the ER docs accused me of faking (for over 12 hrs). Dr. Saini was brought in to evaluate me after I was admitted by another MD (after my husband demanded help). Dr. Saini believed me when others rolled their eyes at me! He proved to other MDs that I was NOT having psychiatric problems, was NOT faking and instead WAS having LEGITIMATE NEUROLOGICAL EPISODES that the quacks just couldn’t figure out. This man has truly saved my life and helped ensure a plan was set for my future health. I am now being referred (by my neurologist) to Vanderbilt’s Undiagnosed Disease Program funded by the National Organization for Rare Diseases.
I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Firstly, you cannot get in touch with the doctor. He writes prescriptions, and when customers run out of medication, he will not refill the medication until the next visit which leaves the patient imbalanced between time although he told my husband to call for refills if he runs out before the next appointment that his staff made. That would be fine if his medical assistant would return calls, and we could get refills. Ive left several messages for the past 2 days! No one calls back. It just shows that the doctor nor his staff genuinely cares about the mental welfare of their patients. Following up and returning calls is a crucial part of a patient mental care. No one really cares nowadays. The doctors see patients, not as individuals with different issues, but just a chart or a number that equals a nice car, vacations etc. They can care less about their paternal welfare. It’s sad. It’s hard if not impossible to find a good doctor who is genuine in the Memphis area.
The doctor who saved my life and gave me good Energy to walk and get fit again. My other GI Doctor gave me IBS meds for just a bit of constipation due to many meds. all constipation are not IBS. Dr. Saini made sure by tests that it was not IBS - stopped those meds and started on mild laxative that stopped me going 10-12 times a day and hence always hungry, so I ate and ate and ate every time I had to go. I had no energy to exercise or to walk. My A1C was 9.4 and my Doctor (PCP) kept increasing my doses of diabetes meds, which had hardly any effect. but after 2-3 months of stopping the meds - I eat less walk more and my A1C is 7.1 and my PCP asked to stop one of the med as I was taking 3 diff kind of diabetes meds. Thank you to Dr. Saini you did it right and saved my life.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
