List of Thomas B Shelton Md's Reviews
Dr. Shelton is great, however the insanely long phone hold times every single time I've ever called is completely unacceptable.
Best dang doctor I’ve ever known. I truly trust him with my life.
Dr. Shelton was down -to-earth. He listened to our concerns, never minimized them, and provided us with understandable conclusions about my condition. When I ran into issues with my chronic foley, his office staff went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I would recommend him to anyone.
Seen Dr. Shelton on several accasions. He is nice but seems to have a flat affect personality wise. Seems to do a thorough job but in my opinion needs to explain procedures better and what to expect post op. He is respected in the medical community from what I understand. I would see him again.
Invasive procedures (needle biopsy) is now considered a cause of spreading cancer if present and MRI is preferred as less invasive (presence of electromagnetic fields is both invasive and risk associated). The amount of emotional upset I experienced with resulting blood in semen was both significant, astounding & serious. This was never addressed, and is more significant to me as I am childless. The lack of consideration of psychological effects and potential emotional impact is abusive.
makes you take useless tests and charges you for that. Never even get the results of the tests. Total money making scam. Charges you 200 bucks for consultations even you go in to just results. completely unethical. rude staff
This doctor has no understanding of cardiac conditions of women. Dr. Thomas did not take the time to review test results I sent to him a week prior to my appointment. The tests were completed out of state while I was on vacation and were provided to assist him in making a diagonsis. Rather than trying to find out why I am short of breathe and have pressure in my chest when climbing stairs or walking on an incline, he said there was nothing wrong with me based on his brief review of the tests during the appointment. My appointment was for a second opinion to determine if anything else could be done to improve my condition. If the patient needs someone to give critial thought and make an effort to treat difficult cardiac conditions, especially if you are a woman, this is not a doctor I could recommend.
Wow!What a top notch doctor! Bed side manner was awesome, put us right at ease. Willing to take the time, energy, and thought into my mother-in-laws complicated medical issues. Her problems weren't just cardio, but he helped with the whole picture and wasn't afraid to bring in fresh eyes. Truly a brilliant man in his own unique way. I absolutely adore him as does my mother-in-law!
he is a top notch doctor and saved my life after a heart attack.(his personality however in my opinion is awful. Would not go to him again.
THis is one of the finest, most compassionate doctors I have ever come in contact with. He gave my husband excellent care and later when no other doctor helped,he stepped in and made my husband's passing tolerable. He cared.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
