List of Thomas D Greenwell Md's Reviews
Dr. Greenwell & his entire staff are hands down the very best! He has been my doctor for over 26+ years. He is brilliant & kind.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Greenwell for 30 years. I’d go to him for every ailment I ever have if I could. He’s AMAZING!! He’s kind, gentle, and attentive. He never rushes out of the room. He always takes a few minutes to ask if I’m doing ok and if I have questions. He treated me through two pregnancies. They are 24 and 21 and he still remembers their names to ask about them when I see him each year for my check up. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AWESOME DOCTOR!!!!
A patient too embarrassed to say anything was severely mistreated during a procedure when no sedation, numbing medication, or pain killer was administered. This individual has since seen a new GYN who was shocked and informed her that's not how this treatment should be done. Don't go to this Doctor. Or at least go to someone else for the procedure if you need one.
My doctor was in an emergency c-section when I was about to have my baby and Dr. Greenwell ended up being the doctor to deliver my baby. Although he told me to stop screaming a bit rudely, he did do a good job at helping me get my son out healthy with no issues. I didn't quite like his bedside manner at first but he was super nice afterwards and seemed to be a good doctor
Dr Greenwell has been my doctor for over twenty-five years and delivered my son who is on the verge of being 21 years old. I see some of these mediocre reviews and am just baffled. In all of my years, I may have waited over thirty minutes just once, maybe? Seriously, it never happens. Also, he IS a doc so if I had to wait, I would know that things arise with an office full of patients, different personalities, and different circumstances. He has been nothing but exceptional and extremely kind towards me. I have had probably close to 100 office visits with Dr. Greenwell and he, along with his entire staff, have been nothing but gracious, attentive, and helpful each and every time. I have recommended him to many, many women and they have all emphatically agreed. If he ever retires, I will be super devastated. He is awesome!!!!
He is an outstanding surgeon combined with wisdom and compassion. I am a physician and like to avoid going to doctors. When surgery became necessary, I realized I had nothing to worry about because I was in Dr Greenwell's hands. What a relief. I may even try to show up on time for my next office visit!
Midsout OBGYN is a beautiful and friendly office, I can’t reccomend the office enough. However Dr. Greenwell, was very unprofessional and inappropriate towards me. It’s been a year and half since I saw him, but my uneasiness about him has not gone away, and I felt compelled to warn other young women who might be considering him as their DR. I was already uneasy that a man was going to be my OBGYN, but I decided to put any preconceived notions aside and try him out. He started off my visit joking that I needed to get tested, even though I was married, because my husband “could always be banging the woman in the cubicle next to him”. Which Is him being realistic, but it could have been stated in a less rude, and vile way and more professional manner... He then proceeded with the mammogram, instead of checking my breasts under my gown, he lifted the entire gown off me, and looked my naked body up and down, before “examining” my breasts. I’ve been to several Gynos and NEVER had to be totally naked for the entire duration of the exam before. I kept telling myself it was ok because a woman nurse was in the room. But it felt so strange. When he went to do the Pap test, he continued to make uncomfortable jokes, and was very rigid, and aggressive with his dry gloved fingers. In the past when I’d seen other gynos, they would lube their fingers to make the process more comfortable. Dr greenwell did not, and when he pulled his hand out I saw blood on his hands. I was not on my period, and I continued to bleed after I left the office. I kept telling myself it was ok, but I still cried in my car after leaving. I felt ashamed and dirty when I left, and When I told my husband everything he got furious. I’ve given this visit time to process but I still feel he acted unprofessionally, and crudely. Perhaps I’m overly sensitive, but I felt and still feel violated by this doctor. I’m sure he’s usually great, but i felt compelled to warn other women who might feel uncomfortable by these actions. If this type of stuff doesn’t bother you, then Id recommend him, but otherwise, I’m never going to this man ever again.
THIS DR IS AN AWFUL MAN! WILL PUT YOU OUT OVER LITTLE MONEY OWED! IM 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND HAVE BEEN SEEING HIM MY ENTIRE PREGNANCY AND NOW HAVE TO FIND A NEW DR! HE WILL TREAT YOU LIKE ANOTHER NUMBER. NO COMPASSION. RUDE. I DONT SEE HOW SOMEONE LIKE HIM CAN BE IN THIS PROFESSION!
I'm totally shocked at the other negative review. Dr. Greenwell has been my doctor since I was 17 yrs old. I'm 51 yrs old now. In the last 34 years of being his patient, he has seen me thru 5 pregnancies, fibroid cysts, a cervical and ovarian cancer scare and a hysterectomy. I've never known a kinder, gentler more personable or knowledgeable doctor in my life!! I would and have trusted him with my life and the lives of my children. Wonderful bedside manner and will always give you the best possible care. I highly recommend him!
Horrible Dr for Deliveries ! He Was "out of town" for 2nd delivery. He scheduled the 2nd one on a Friday afternoon ( nobody was available when we had a complication ) and didn't show up until Monday after the delivery. The first time an intern did the surgery ..the 2nd time his assistant Dr. The 2nd one was really bad ( they didn't staple it as they you should do after 2nd C-section and used latex on top - it came wide open again ) ...took us years to recover from his laziness and ignorance.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
