Everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting during my care has been so friendly and helpful. I have been really impressed by the doctor and his staff. After my surgery I had called regarding swelling in my hand and arm. I received a call back from Elizabeth who was very caring. She offered for me to come in that day, but I didn't have transportation. My call was on a Thursday afternoon and I was pleasantly surprised when she called back on Friday inquiring about how I was doing. I thought that was so nice of her. This entire office has made my experience a lot better since I had a shoulder replacement. I highly recommend them.

Dr Geil was very knowledgeable about my condition and the ultimate surgery required but suggested we delay the surgery until my pain level or mobility became more difficult. I was very appreciative of his position and we agreed to reevaluate conditions in 3 months.

Kudos to Dr. Giel for the excellent diagnosis of tendonitis in my left ankle. Before I visited with Dr. Giel, I visited Appling Podiatry. He provided the "boot" to relieve the pain in my ankle without improvement. Dr. Giel referred me to the Foor and Ankle specialist. I am now in therapy to improve the tendons of my ankle.

This was my first visit and I received excellent care. All staff members, front desk personnel showed genuine concern and professionalism.

I wanted to say that Dr. Geil at OrthoSouth was so very very kind to me. But, Dr. Geil told me that "I am an active person and my sport is hiking. And he wants to get me back to hiking and doing things I love". And I've never had a doctor tell me I am an "active person", even when I was much much smaller than I am now. He didn't say anything about my weight or eating or diet. He was really gentle and careful while examining my knee and talking to me about how the surgery works and the extent of the damage to my knee. He was serious about and took seriously, my pain and injury from the beginning. He was encouraging. It was a good experience and I also really like his assistant, Elizabeth. She wrote a note for me to work from home as much as I need up to and after the surgery and was enthusiastic about helping with any FMLA or disability paperwork I may need. She always reaches back out to me when I'm scared and have questions and she is validating and positive about everything we talk about. I have been so scared about this surgery but I feel like I have a great medical support team and it makes me feel so much safer. I feel more confident and hopeful about my quality of life and future. Thank you so much.
