My husband arrived in an ambulance, they put us in a room in the we. We sat in a room unattended to for 3 hrs. I decided enough. So I went to the nurses station told them that I wanted them to give me discharge papers. As we were leaving, apparently they are way to busy to attend to us after a 3 ghee wait. Mind you, we came in an ambulance, no flueids iv hooked up, no heart monitor hooked up, no blood pressure taken, no Exsam given.So after asking for discharge papers. A first nurse said we are busy, I said, I get it, that is why we are leaving after not being attended to for 3 hrs. I stated this is what’s wrong with healthcare , no service, over charge for no medical attention, she got rude. So I asked for the name and number of the hospital administrator so I could do a formal complaint.Then a second nurse yelled at me and said, we are very busy, over whelmed with covid patients.I stated back. I have done my due diligence for 18 mths bn isolated got vaccinated not my issue. Deal with reality. Now get e my discharge papers.I went back into the room , when they sent a cop in to tell me I had to leave for causing a disturbance , I told him if I was not under arrest, or being detained I was not going anywhere. Then him and I continued a yelling match, as he told me that the nurses wanted me to go, again I said, this is a public place, I am not going anywhere unless he is arresting me.The doctor told the cop to leave, told me to stay , apologized for the staff and police harassment,Never, ever again will I favor a institution like Milan hospital, who clearly has issues with patients care.

This is by far the worst hospital i have even been to the staff is so unprofessional its Ridiculous if u can make the trip go to jackson general i came in an ambulance with my year old daughter for them to tell me to wait in the lobby even tho u cant keep a mask on a babys face but yall want a baby to sit in the lobby

I took my 3 year old son to the ER back in December and he tested positive for Type A flu. He's been sick ever since. I've taken him back a few times and they NEVER drew blood to find out what was wrong with my son. All they wanted to do is send him home with medicine that he didnt even need. He woke up with a fever of 105.5 a few days ago so I brought him to Jackson instead and boom he was admitted on the spot! The medications that Milan was giving him were making him worse! My poor kid has had Pneumonia for months and those lowlifes at Milan General didn't even care enough to find out why he was sick! I will NEVER take either of my children back to that sorry excuse of a hospital again!!

Absolutely absurd wait time, I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours after they sent my stuff over to lab when they told me 20 minutes. Doctor was very unprofessional as well. I would rate 0 stars if I could, I wouldn’t go back here if I broke my neck a mile up the road.

I almost wish they had less than a one star. Let me begin by saying the vast majority of the nurses are the nicest and most helpful I have ever encountered. This is my second near death experience at the hospital, but I’ll just speak about this one. I got the flu, as many of us have, however mine progressed to pneumonia, so I went to the ER, and was admitted. I was diagnosed by the “doctor “, and they started treatment. I expressed I was feeling worse very quickly, but they continued. Two days dater, I was on an helicopter to Vanderbilt with a good chance I wouldn’t make it there. Luckily I did, with the Vanderbilt team ready to go to with the diagnosis from Milan General that I had congenital heart failure. The cardiac team at Vanderbilt was ready to go (I was told, I was already on a ventilator and don’t know first hand about this). In about 15 minutes, the cardiologist informed my family they didn’t know what was going on because my heart was fine. She paged the Rheumatologist who very quickly figured out it was my lungs, not my heart. The doctor at Milan General who misdiagnosed me and wouldn’t listen to a word I said was giving me treatment that literally stopped my lungs from being able to function. After a few days on the ventilator at Vanderbilt I did wake up, and a few days later came home. I still have a lot of recovery, but it gets better everyday. I agree with other reviews that it’s sad that this is the closet hospital to us. But I thank God and the staff at Vanderbilt that I’m still here. Please think twice before going to Milan General (and it doesn’t surprise me that the number they give you to call is disconnected). But did finally get the administrator, Sherry Scruggs, who cares absolutely nothing about anyone

Dr Hawkins was great! I went in for palpatations and it turned out anxiety was playing some nasty tricks. Dr hawkins took the time to explain in great detail what was going on. Again thank you Dr hawkins for your help and patience with me.

The Er.is absolutely a joke . The so called Doctors they have in there have sorry bedside manner no compassion to busy telling you I don't put of with disobedience when you can make her mind I'll be back. That's old Dr.up there. Keeps you way to long to send you home no better off than you were when you got there.

My experience: husband sent to ER Husband in Afib. Potassium levels out the roof. Dr. Fletcher on duty. Gave us a list of dietary things to avoid. Ok no help#1 #2 we had our 9yo granddaughter wt us. Dr Fletcher thought in his twisted inept mind thought it would be funny to hurl a coin at my grand it hit her in the throat. This startled her and I think was not only UNPROFESSIONAL. But sadistic in nature. Beware of this twisted doctor. She is undergoing therapy to deal with why this person hurt her when she was asleep. Shame on you dr fletcher.ttyl!....update other doctors seen since this incident have been excellent. The nursing staff has always been excellent as well.
