John Boyd's Online Review Report Card

Trustworthiness and truthfulness are crucial for a doctor. Dr. Boyd lacks these qualities.

I viewed this Dr’s large, obnoxious ad providing government propaganda to inject children with a dangerous, experimental gene treatment. Not sure how people would trust him with their health. I wonder how much he was paid? You have blood on your hands Dr. Boyd.

Yes i would. Dr. Boyd is a awesome,sweet,caring Dr. The staff are also friendly and sweet. I'm so happy Dr Boyd is now my Dr.

He asked questions and listened well. He answered each of my questions to my great satisfaction. He did not recommend any treatment that was not indicated. His explanations were very clear. And he was pleasant to interact with.

I seen my PCPs CNP for toe pain due to my diabetic neuropathy, and was referred to OHIO FOOT AND ANKLE CENTER. They canceled my first appointment. So I was off work for 11 days. Went to my next appointment DOCTOR BOYD shaved my toe and gave me a pad for between them. We discussed medication for the pain. He was told during the visit that PCP practice doesn’t prescribe pain medication. 6 hours after my appointment I called to see if my Rx was called in, they said that Dr Boyd said that my PCP need to prescribe it. It is now Friday at 4pm and I have to work Monday, going on 14 days of being in pain. 8/10 when I work 14+ hour on my feet. I don’t think that is good practice

He is rude. You tell him something and he minimizes it. It's easy to get an appointment because he probably has few patients. I didn't feel like I was taken care of or listened to. Just rude. Maybe it's time for him to retire.

I was nervous to go back to Ohio Foot & Ankle being that I would be seeing a new doctor this time. However, when I got there Dr.Boyd made me feel very comfortable and he listened to my concerns and explained exactly what I needed to have done! Also informed me I would need surgery and he has privileges at the local hospital which is a BIG plus!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Boyd for about 15 years now. He went in about 6 months ago for swelling in his legs, Dr. Boyd told him "he was fat". About a month ago he went back in for a cough that he's had for several months and Dr. Boyd told him he had acid reflux and to take Nexium. Last Thursday my husband went back in for more swelling and Dr. Boyd did another blood test, told him to go to the hospital, and it turns out he has end stage renal failure and will need a kidney transplant, hence the swelling and coughing. We have lab reports from a year ago that showed my husband was already in stage 4 kidney failure, and Dr. Boyd didn't seem too concerned about it, he should have sent him to a kidney specialist asap. Now my husband is going to need dialysis within the next couple of months and ultimately a kidney transplant at the age of 47. If he had actually taken all his lab tests and symptoms seriously then we might not be in the situation that we are right now. He is lazy, and frankly doesn't seem to give a rip or pay attention to what's going on with his patients. I would strongly suggest against seeing him if you value your life.

I should have looked at reviews before deciding to choose Dr Boyd, my fault, but most of the bad reviews are pretty much how Dr. Boyd is. I have had at least three visits with Dr. Boyd and he reminds me of some sergeant major(master chief for you sailors) in the military. Just some gosh awful old man with nothing better to do than make your life a living hell and if I were still in the military, this is what i would expect. Staff is much nicer and courteous. He is an acquired taste for sure, but he kinda takes me back to those good old military days. Reason for two stars. Of course, once you leave the exam room, the dream is over.
