This gives patients and their families great comfort in a very serious and stressful situation. Everything about the procedure, the expected sequellae and post op course was explained in detail in advance. After the procedure findings and their potential effect on overall outcome was discussed fully with me and with my family. The experience was absolutely as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
