He knows exactly what my problem is. He is willing to help find the best solutions and surgery for my rare problem. There has been no other physician able to do this.

Dr. Barrett did nothing but body shame me. I was advised to get bariarric surgery to lose weight before he would even consider doing surgery. While I sat there trying not to cry, he kept asking why I weighed so much. I left his office crying and will be looking elsewhere for an orthopedic surgeon.

This is my second knee surgery with Dr Barrett. I have recommended him to several friends. He listens, and answers any questions you may have. Dr Barrett did total knee replacement on my left knee in November of 2021. My recovery and success went so well I scheduled my right knee surgery in February. This one has done equally well. If I need any joint replacement surgeries in the future I will not hesitate to contact Dr Barrett.

5 years ago I had my first total knee replacement. For some reason the surgery was not successful. The surgeon that performed the original surgery said he was not able to repair the damage, and so my PCP (DR. TRUSSLER) referred me to DR. BARRETT. The care I received was excellent. He performed my reconstructive surgery and did an excellent job. Before the reconstructive surgery I was barely able to walk and in constant pain. Now at 7 weeks after my surgery I feel like a new woman. Thank you Dr.Barrett for giving me back my mobility and hope for a great future. I am enjoying mowing my lawn and getting things done around the house and yard. I Thank God for blessing you with the knowledge you have and healing hands.

Just completed physical therapy after a full knee replacement by Dr. Barrett. Everything went as planned, communication throughout was outstanding. Dr. Barrett staff is very helpful and prompt in responding. Glad I chose Dr. Barrett and TOA!

I was very impressed by Dr Barrett and the entire surgery team at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital. My entire procedure was flawless and could not have asked for a better environment or team of people.

Dr. Barrett and his nurse are both amazing in every way. I had my first knee replacement on Nov8 and the second one on Feb 14! After the first two days I began to feel better everyday. The physical therapist was amazed how quickly I was able to reach all of the goals , and by the 2nd week you would have never known I had anything done. I didn’t have to take any pain meds after the second week except during physical therapy and only then for another week. Dr. Barrett is a perfectionist and is kind gentle and perfect in every way! I am so happy I chose him for my surgeon

Dr Barrett has been the surgeon when I had total knee replacement in 2013 & 2014. He is very knowledgeable & an excellent surgeon!I highly recommend him for your knee orthopedic problems

After experiencing sharp pain in my left hip I contacted Dr. Barrett and TOA for an appointment. I met with Richard Planzo [his assistant] first and he reviewed my conditions and set up an appointment in just a few days with Dr. Barrett himself. Dr. Barrett talked to me -then examined me for range of movement and then watched me walk. Dr. Barrett then explained the choices that were available to me and I decided that hip replacement was best for me. A date for the operation was set up and then TOA contacted me about additional steps that must happen before the operation. Everything was explained and planned. They set up all my pre-op appointments. I feel really confident about my operation the professional people associated with Dr. Barrett and TOA.
