I’ve seen him for hernia surgery and lap band fills. So I’ve seen him numerous times. He’s one of my favorite doctors I’ve seen and he was highly recommended by friends in healthcare that had personally used him.

Doctor squeezed me into his busy schedule to clean up a infected surgical site. Nursing staff is always so cheerful and helpful which helped calm my anxiety as I contemplated the seriousness of my infection. Thank you for helping me.

My son was referred for general surgery involving the esophagus. After a very brief description of what “could” be the problem and possible fix he tried to solicit his bariatric surgery services-Not what the visit was about. Several attempts to redirect conversation back to problem and finally left when he couldn’t stop with the soliciting...

Dr. Westmoreland performed a bariatric surgery on me in 2016. He did an excellent job. His staff is always professional and kind. Dr Westmoreland came to talk with me right before my surgery. He offered me the opportunity NOT to do it. I left that conversation feeling so good about my choice, despite my fear. He made me feel very safe in his care. There are a lot of good doctors and surgeons, but not many who take a moment to really connect with someone right before surgery. As a result, my experience was so much better than previous, less invasive surgery. Feeling confident about my surgeon and that he really cared about me as a patient and a person made a huge difference in dialing back my fear. His technical ability is unquestionable... his bedside manner and that pre-surgery conversation, concluding with him asking if it would be ok if he prayed with and for me showed me he is also a great man.
