No wait , after hours service fast and friendly
In April, I was scheduled to see Dr. McKissick for left shoulder pain that I had been having since February. I had just moved back to TN and heard that he was the one to see. When I arrived for my appointment, he wasn’t in so I had to see his PA, Kyle. I was fine with that until he came in. He asked what my problem was and as I explained to him that I was struggling raising my arm, he proceeded to shake it around like there was nothing wrong. Wouldn’t listen to anything I told him and immediately said it sounds like frozen shoulder and some issues related to age (I’m 47). Never ordered an MRI, only told me I needed a steroid shot, (which is the first allergy listed in my allergies). I told him about what happened when I have steroids and he said oh, that’s just a normal reaction. Everyone has them and proceeded to give me a shot. As I was leaving, I was crying and had let my husband know how I was treated and he called and spoke to the nurse. She then said well she will need an MRI and we will get that scheduled and give you a call in a couple days. A week goes by and still no change. Shoulder isn’t feeling any better and still haven’t had an MRI. Once I get the MRI scheduled I’m supposed to go back and see the Dr and get the results. I go in and it’s Dr McKissick this time and he says that I have a small tear in my labrum and some other degenerative things ALL related to age and tells me I need a shot. Again, I explained that I’m allergic to steroids and he says that that’s really all he can do since it is age related! Fast forward to today. I found a new Dr that took one look at the same MRI and scheduled surgery immediately stating that I had no cartilage left in my shoulder and several tears in my labrum. All had to be surgically corrected and had nothing to do with my age. I’m possibly looking at a shoulder replacement that could’ve been helped months ago had I not been pushed through so quickly. Maybe spend some time talking with and listening to your patients. They normally know when something isn’t right with their body. Don’t just rush in and out because your triple and quadruple booked in every slot!! Will never go back to TOA or anyone associated with them. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Wonderful service and great doctor..
It was a great experience. Doctors are very professional, along with the nurses.
Dr. Brown was wonderful! She explained everything with my daughters injury perfectly and made sure we understood treatment options.
TOA has a great staff and Dr Steinagle has been wonderful . My shoulder surgery has been a success thus far and he keeps a check on his patients and I appreciate that !!! Hope I have no more issues, but if I do .. this is where I would go
Dr. Brown was very good at explaining my issue. She gave me several options. She gave me the choice of what path I wanted to try.
Service was quick. Friendly staff and Dr. Clendenin made me feel very comfortable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
