Roderick Vaughan's Online Review Report Card

I'm so disappointed in Dr. Vaughn. Me and my family have been going to to Dr Vaughn for over 10 years, and has seen my whole family at one time or another, I had an accident and fell at well-known establishment, and their insurance company said they would pay for everything, so I decided i wanted to see the best, to check me out, so i made an appointment with Dr. Vaughn. My family thinks a lot of him and have a lot trust in his abilities. I had to wait 3 weeks for an open appointment, and drove over 50 miles to see him. When i got there, I checked in they told me that Dr. Vaughn would not see me because i was 3rd party payment and that he was scared he wouldn't get paid and refused to see me.... My mouth dropped open, I couldn't believe it, i was so surprised, this whole time he never cared about my health, he was concerned in my insurance check... Another doctor chasing the mighty dollar. Patients beware, where does his abilities stop, and his pocketbook starts... My family and I are still in awe... but staff said that it was very common, and his decision was based on the way he felt that day. WOW, that says a lot.

I presented to the doctor with a suspected torn rotator cuff. Other areas were painful and might have been the result of a more serious issue. Doctor took time to eliminate the other issue before addressing shoulder tear. During the time of visiting TOA, my wrist was injured due to an ice storm. I was thinking it was just an annoying two week old sprain, but quickly doctor examined it during my shoulder reexam. He determined it was actually a tricky three way break and had me casted. My wrist healed beautifully and my shoulder is improving without surgery. A steroid injection to the shoulder joint has immensely improved my quality of life. Every visit, Dr Vaughn was attentive to my concerns and questions and explained everything well with drawings and comparisons. I was fortunate and am grateful to have been directed to Dr. Vaughn by a friend. Th doc is a good one.

Dr. Vaughn was very thorough with my examination. He explained my problem in understandable terms. I trust him as my doctor.

Dr Vaughan is one of the best doctors I have seen in many years. He truly cares about his patients and it shows in the way he takes time to explain everything to you and answer each and every question you have. I would highly recommend him just on that aspect alone, but add to it that he obtains great results with his surgeries. There needs to be more doctors of his caliber!

Dr. Vaughan goes the extra mile to explain things. He makes sure you fully understand what is going on with your injury before he moves on. He gives you multiple options to consider for treatment and he explains to you the pros and cons of each one.
