Dr. Gelbard literally saved my life in 2018 when he diagnosed me with subglottic stenosis and dilated so I could breathe. He’s so incredibly intelligent, kind, and compassionate I would recommend him 💯% of the time.

I had a really rough day yesterday. I was alone. I went for a MRI on my neck and chest at Vanderbilt. I have a tracheotomy and before when I had MRI'S that wasn't a big issue. However, its been years ago and they are more powerful. So I drove almost 2 hours for them to tell me they can't do it. It was important because I have a tumor that needed to be evaluated. Dr. Gelbard came to my rescue. He came all the way downstairs, put a plastic tracheotomy in so they could do the scan, then put my trach back in when I was finished. He is soo compassionate, smart and I highly recommend him. I was almost in tears the kindness from everyone at the radiology department. Down to his residents!! Awesome job. Thank you again. When I have sugery, I'm hoping he will be there!
