Amanda Toye's Online Review Report Card

I've been seeing Dr Toye for years but I'm being forced to find another doctor. After CPS closed I followed Dr Toye to PMG but there I've not been treated as a individual. I'm nothing more than a Morphine milligram equivalency number. I was stable and on the same dose for over 5 years but over the last year my pain medication has been reduced by more than 50 percent without my consent. When I told Dr Toye my pain was increasing and my quality of life was decreasing. I was told it's just in my head and that I needed to see a psychiatrist. I've went from having a good quality of life and being on a stable dose of pain management, to a very poor quality of life and having my pain medication lowered over and over again. To this doctor I'm nothing more than a MME number ! I wasn't treated this way before. I'm not sure if it's Dr Toye that wants everyone at or below 180 daily milligrams of morphine equivalency or if it's PMG. My life has been destroyed by this cruel and painful change !

More of a drug dealer than a doctor. She showed no care about my pain and just wanted to throw differant drugs at me. Found a rheumatologist for real help.

I totally agree with Lisa from Dallas. I have been dealing with pain for years. She listened and was very compassionate about my issues. But, I finally find a doctor that seems genuine and then come to find out, she is leaving the state. :-( Her office staff kind of stinks but her ladies in the back that help out with your procedures are wonderful!!!

I saw Dr. Toye only a few times. In that time she used multiple out-of-network providers and I was left stuck with the bills. She also prescribed and mailed medications that were not discussed with me or approved by me to be submitted to a specialty pharmacy. Now I am stuck with payment plans to labs, doctors, and pharmacies. My current doctor never charges for out of network and stated Dr. Toye seemed to be trying to make money off me. I will say the procedure she performed a lumbar facet injection went okay except for the out-of-network anesthesiologist. I would beware of this doctor and practice. The practice manager Mr. Stout does not return calls and was flippant about my issues.

She is, by far, the most caring, understanding,compassionate doctor I have ever delt with. If you need someone who truly cares about your suffering, become one of her patients.

Dr. Toye, usually, is warm & welcoming. Occasionally she will seem hurried, curt and angry about something. She does not push pills but will talk it out with you and do what is necessary to give pain relief. Her surgical skills are great. That gives me the most pain relief. They have changed how they do pain scripts and it has become a nightmare to get refills. The front office staff has some people that are great and the 'back office' seem negligent in handling calling back & followup on refills etc. Bottom line my pain is manageable and I thank Dr. Toye for that.

I have been trying to make an appointment with Dr. Toye's office for two days. Currently I've been on hold for over 40 minutes. I called back and selected a different option on their answering service, thinking that perhaps their system was broken. The incredibly rude woman who answered snapped that I would have to call back, since they are a "high volume" office and I'd "just have to wait." She then hung up on me. 45 minutes and counting now, just to make an appointment....

I have been Dr. Toye's patient for almost 2 years. She initially seemingly appeared compassionate however, something shifted in the last 8 months in her attitude and bedside manner. She has become cold, arrogant, and not helpful. A few months back, she said, "well it looks like the pain will never go away." Way to be compassionate Dr. Toye. Let's not forget her office staff...Gracie is RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL.

Dr Toye commonly uses out of network providers and you are stuck with the bill. Her office does not answer phone calls so that one has to physically go to the office to discuss anything. I would avoid this doctor and Konen and Associates Practice at Baylor Pain Management.

Dr. Toye is great BUT the office staff is a nightmare. Average hold time to speak to someone is 30 minutes and there hasn't been a month yet that there hasn't been issues with prescription refills.
