My first visit with Dr Utz went wonderfully. She was so kind and explained everything to my husband and myself. It didn’t feel rushed, she made sure she answered all our questions. We were very pleased.

If you have something other than Diabetes AVOID AT ALL COSTS I would second the following:"Flippant about symptoms, eager to undermine PCP/patient relationship, manipulated report with what she wanted it to say, interrupts, belittles, condescends, mocks, to control question/answers. Do not go to this one"

She wasn't interested in the patient but rather the pre-defined box she tried to shove 'em into. If you have something other than Diabetes: RUN from this one. She gave medical advice based on the wrong medical records, and a predefined medical opinion that would have resulted in disaster had the patient not been aware. Everyone has a bad day. I'm sure she's knowledgeable about diabetes, but "Nobody cares how smart you are if you're so offensive they can't hear you." This one really enjoys mocking, belittling, and gaslighting the patient. Whatever you do- DO NOT SEE THIS DR ALONE, TAKE SOMEONE WITH YOU- you'll need a witness. In hindsight, the entire song-and-dance visit was about keeping patients with a certain complicated medical history (aka possible legal liability) out of the office. That can be done while screening patients. Don't want patients with complicated medical histories? Don't book them.

Intelligent Dr but bedside manor and patient care is not a priority. Would not reply back to messages or medication refills. I would definately not recommend this Dr.

If I had to sum this dr up in a phrase it would be: You, the patient, will fit into my predetermined check boxes despite reality. She wasn't in possession of recent labs,scans and tests, and wasn't interested. She wasn't aware of recent events or physicians, but also not interested. Intolerant of questions. Flippant about symptoms, eager to undermine PCP/patient relationship, interrupts, belittles, condescends, mocks to control question/answers. Has a predetermined agenda that has nothing to do with the actual patient or reality.
