List of Ansel Anderson's Reviews
I went to the ER at St Thomas for menstrual cramps that turned out to be a fibroid. He did not listen to my symptoms. I had no respiratory issues, no fever, or covid symptoms. He ordered a chest x-ray, forced me to take a covid tests and patronized me when I questioned why he was doing those things. He yelled at me in the ER and a nurse had to calm him down. It was traumatizing. I have always loved St Thomas but after this experience I do not ever want to go back. He didn’t apologize and discharged me as quickly as he could after the nurse had to calm him down. It was strange. She said it was the end of his shift and he was tired. Lame excuse for patient care.
I was in the ER at St Thomas West on May 26, 2020. Dr Anderson bedside manner was disinterested and lacking in compassion. It was especially stressful as I was there alone because of COVID19 restrictions.
I felt Dr. Anderson was quite helpful, when diagnosing a small stroke. He found the problem that other doctors had missed. I found his candor to be very professional, given the environment he is working in. It’s called an emergency room for a reason, and he doesn’t have time for excellent bedside manners.
Wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. Also didnt bother to tell me I had a pulmonary module that should be followed up with a chest ct in 6 months
I was seen by this so called physician at St Thomas West ER 3/3/18 for a severe foot injury. He told me I had a midfoot sprain w/no definite fracture & to consult an orthopedic. Upon review of the same XRay Dr Anderson had @ St Thomas it was clear there was at least 1 fracture. It was then discovered there are at least 3 fractures. He totally missed even 1 fracture, which was clearly seen on his ER X Ray. Total incompetence. Run from him if you want to have a correct diagnosis. He doesn't care
I felt Dr Anderson exhibited a callousness towards my problems and potential diagnosis. I attempted to explain to him that I had a TIA and blood pressure issues, in addition to my heart concerns. He cut me off and told me it was of little consequence with my heart issues. I definitely feel that my blood pressure concerns could have been at least considered in my overall health profile. I found him unprofessional and harsh. Common courtesy and respect certainly isn't asking too much.
He looked like he didnt care at all... No explanation nothing.. Gave me a paper to read only !!!
This dude is the worst ER Dr. He refused to call treating physicians and then claimed to call them and mentioned a dr that isn't even in the group... What a joke don't ever let this dr tell you he did something without proof!
Saw this doctor at St. Thomas ER after waiting for 3 hours!!! I had been experiencing excruciating back pain and sciatica on the right side. Told me I probably had a pinched nerve. No blood drawn, no urine taken, no x-rays, or anything except 3 injections (pain, steriod, and muscle relaxer) and three scripts for same. Told to see my physician. Saw my regular doctor a day later and was in emergency surgery same day for a rare disabling infection in my spine. Could have died or been paralyzed if MRI had not been taken that day in doctor's office.
I went in to the ER in a lot of pain. The doctor accurately diagnosed the problem and took steps to help me. The doctor's actions probably saved my life, or helped prevent a much more serious situation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
